Options are always nice, but since I run most games at 30 FPS and I´d asume 30hz to have noticable flickering (I´ll have to try that out later today), it wouldn´t be of use to me. Would be nice to have something like 3 tabs for this option to quickly switch to what I need. First tab is the one-bar-solution, second tab the two bars and the third could offer some common "1-click-preset" options like 60/60, 30/60 and 40/40.

Since the last stable update, my power button is showing some strange behaviour. Most times I have to press it 5-10 times to turn the deck on or off.

"Dorf" is the Geman word for "village". In the case of "Dorfromantik" thats exactly what it means, Dorfromantik is a word to describe a beautiful and calm village-atmosphere with old buildings, fields, animals etc.
In the case of D.O.R.F., I dont think this has anything to do with it though xD No Idea what it might stand for, I couldn´t find anything about that on the official website either.
The game looks really awesome, I´m especially hyped with those two points
We can see trains, pipes and connected buildings in the video. Mixing classic RTS with a little bit of Factorio could be very awesome if done right.

- Base construction and resource harvesting, but with a modern twist; resources must get from the refineries to the factories, rewarding players with efficient base layouts.
- Pump oil from deposits, mine ore beneath the surface, and gather scrap and debris left over from previous battles to fuel your war machine.

Looks awesome, but yeah... no numpad is a dealbreaker for me.
I wouldn´t mind a big red alt+f4 button though...

I played it a while ago and probaply gonna wait for the full release or late-EA until I start another game, but I really enjoyed the game so far!
I also love how much they go into detail with the whole wood-theme, the kinetic energy and how well the vertical gameplay already works.
A lot has changed since I played, but a good advice back then was to have one separate "paradise settelment", where the beavers don´t produce anything but food and basicly just eat, relax, get fat and be happy... and whenever some grave planning error wipes out your other settlements during a drought, you can easily kick some of em out of paradise to repopulate those other settlements.
However, I still feel great shame when I think back on how long it took me to realize that beavers actually CAN swim

I wish to win because I´m so devilishly handsome I always loved ressource management and city building. I spent countless hours with the Settlers and Anno series. The Wandering Village seems to be right up my alley and I really love the twist with the giant creature. It also seems to be a great fit for my Steam Deck

A great milestone indeed, happy birthday!
Im relatively new to this site (came here with the launch of the Steam Deck).
14 years is quite impressive, especially considering the topic´s reality back then. You´ve really been ahead of the curve. Thanks for all the years of dedication and work!

MicroProse now publishing Dying Breed a retro RTS like Command & Conquer

Love it at first glance. I´m just a bit unsure about the cutscenes. We dont get to see much in the trailer, but for me it seems a little to much "lets try hard to make it very bad and cheesy" instead of the real "its bad and cheesy and we dont care"-coolness of the original games of that era.
Still an appreciated project and that MicroProse-Logo adds an extra kick of nostalgia
