When I finally managed to load the livechat (never got to see the actual stream), the Milf Hunter win-message was the first thing I´ve got to see... so yes: I was there when the legend was born!

I´m having a problem with the controls not working in AC Valhalla whenever the Deck wakes up from sleep. Since the game always takes ages to start/restart, this really kills a lot of enjoyment for me. Anybody else having similar problems? Using Proton 7.0.5 right now, but I´m gonna try out some other versions later today.

@linuxjacques: There are ways to get around the time limit so yeah, Valve probably wanted to step in before someone tries out the Lord of the Rings Extended Cut Trilogy or the complete MCU ;)
@Termy & 1xok: Would be very interresting to know if they updated to a newer Delta without the whine. Valve should communicate much more openly about this topic. Whenever friends asked me if I can recommend the Deck, I always had to be honest that I don´t know if there still is a risk of getting a whiny fan.
I hope we´ll see some testing with the new foam solution soon.

I´m a bit shocked they are still shipping Steam Decks with Delta fans... and I really hope this change will fix the noise for future buyers.
Just yesterday I ordered a replacement fan, because the ugly noise is killing a lot of the joy out of this otherwise awesome device. Meaning I had to pay an extra 25€ for the fan and will have to open it up and fiddle around, hoping not to break anything, wich is not a good experience for a 670€ product.
I am personally only mildly pissed about this, because the anticipation of some early-adopter-problems was part of my preorder-decision (I managed to pre-order within the first few minutes and was lucky to get my order-email with the second batch)... but reading that they are still shipping Decks with Delta to this day is astonishing.

The JSAUX M.2 Docking Station for Steam Deck is a great choice

Would it be possible to have a full OS (Windows) running on the Dock-M.2, connect two monitors and have it all run somewhat useable for non-gaming-purposes? I doubt this will be possible over the single USB-C on the Deck, but I lack any serious experience on this topic.
More I/O is very high on my wishlist for a Steam Deck 2. To this day I´m still amazed by the amount of ports my little old GPD Win 1 had

Quoting: SupayPerfect, thanks! :heart:Quoting: RavenWingsDamn, they all are just so great! Can I just put em all in a folder and have the Deck choose one at random? That would increase my average daily happiness by at least 10% :grin:There is indeed. I highly recommend this. You can put weightings on them too.

Quoting: Liam DaweThey don´t get any hate from me, but its still a bit shocking and I think it would be great to have another, cheaper (official) option with less features. But on the other hand... the Deck itself is far to cheap already and we do have many options with third-party hardware... if instead of a Steam Deck this would be the "Xbox Series M" or something, we would have to pay 150€ for the offical dock and would need to grind off some plastic-barrier from the device in order to be able to use a third-party solution xDQuoting: GuestThe price of the docking station is absurd.I don't quite get the outburst here. Yes it's more expensive but it also has DisplayPort (JSAUX don't have that), USB 3.1 (JSAUX has 3.0) and direct Valve support from a much more known company. Naturally, it will also have the absolute best direct support for the Deck, since it was made specifically for it. I'm not a big fan of the price either, but it doesn't suddenly make them some kind of evil. Bit weird.
People who keep saying that Valve is "the good guy" will get a rude awakening once more questionable decisions will be made.
I will go with the JSAUX dock instead.
As an addition: the official Docking Station doesn't even need to be used. It's an added extra, and they continue to improve the docked experience for third-party stuff all the time. You use whatever you want, Valve even made that point clear in their video.

99€ seems very high... I was hoping for something ~40€ and was planning to buy 3-4 of them. For now I ordered just one, but I will need two at the very least. I´ll try it out for a while and then descide if I rather get one or more third party docks as addition.
