Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Linux system requirements revealed, Nvidia only for now

That's pretty tough requirements. On Windows it runs on my poor old GTX 660, I guess this time it's... the end :'(

Feral have released the minimum and recommend system requirements for Mad Max on Linux

Ouch... I'm equipped with a plain GTX 660, not the Ti one. It's the first time I'll pass on a Linux game because of not meeting the required horsepower. Doh!

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

Dawn of War II, and I'm completely blown away.

Valve looking to contract experienced Mesa developers to work on the open source AMD driver for OpenVR

That's a great thing to have Vulkan running on top of open source AMD stack, indeed. As a side note, I think a company like Valve could be the one who could handle some of the cost for OpenGL certification for the open source drivers.

Mesa has now hit full OpenGL 4.4 support for AMD radeonsi and Intel

Quoting: boltronicsBeen looking forward to this for a long time. Hopefully with my force OpenGL version overrides, Dying Light will finally run. If so, I'm sure it'll run much better than AMDGPU-Pro (as it couldn't be any worse!).

AFAIK, Dying Light is the only game for which we have been waiting for these features to drop. Everything else I've tried already runs great with Mesa, and I own a lot of games.
That's a precious piece of information to me because I am actually considering wether I'd get an AMD card in the near future, rather than an nVidia. I thought about opening a topic on this on the forums, as there is no real compatibility list for the time being.

AMD Zen looks like it will release at CES in January 2017

I too would have bought an AMD CPU if they had been in line with Intel products. Their open source strategy with their GPUs also makes me wonder if I'm getting wether a GTX 1060 or an RX 480... So, for the time being I'm just waiting until I see clearly what's the better option.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll get a new rig anytime soon, as I'm more of an upgrade freak and I only buy a new computer every ten years or so...

Multiplayer note: The online multiplayer is Linux->Linux only, no cross-platform multiplayer.
To get this out of the way first: The FPS isn’t the best
Generally in the heat of combat it hovers at just above 30FPS
It's also highly advisable to quit the game and reload it when changing any graphical options. Or else you will get weird results and performance.
And now suddenly

You have no excuse not to own Company of Heroes 2 now
Did all of that change or are you just again shilling for Feral?
Despite all those shortcomings, including some that aren't quoted above, I just LOVE this game.
Too many people are overreacting about Feral's port performances, I'm running a poor old GTX 660 and I max out most of the games they release with a pretty decent framerate.

This is great news! That's an RTS legend coming on our OS and only a month after the Windows release. Oh and it's the first game from GSC Gameworld to come our way.
