Quoting: DragunovRemember guys, being experimental means that they can drop the Linux client all together at any time. There is no guarantee that it will ever be finished/released. I'm not a gambling man, but once they officially release the Linux Client I'll be the first to buy it.
I know, but if many of us buy it they're unlikely to let us down. It would be a big step backwards. Abandon it maybe, but removing it from Steam I don't think so. BTW the game works really well, at least for the campaign.

What have you been playing and what do you think?

Feel free to describe what's not working in TW3 thread. It should work now both for Mesa and Nvidia blob.
First of all, I use wine-development and not wine staging, latest version of course, 2.18 at the time of writing.

Now here's the output I get when running TW3 :
LANG=C WINEPREFIX=/home/julien/.wine wine /mnt/misc3/wine_drive_c/GOG\ Games/The\ Witcher\ 3\ Wild\ Hunt/bin/x64/witcher3.exe

Even after completely resetting Wine the same happens.

My system :
Debian 9 (Stretch) AMD64 w/ latest updates, 9.2 at the time of writing.
Intel Core i7 4790
32 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 1070 w/ 375.82 blob.

Using under KDE with locale fr_FR.UTF-8

Runs great for me and well enough as I am not interested in multiplayer.

A bit of lag from time to time but very few.

Hi,

I've tried the game which is rather good, ressembles to AoE2 with big armies. But the Linux version is still very beta quality :
- Many freezes where the only thing left to do is to kill the game
- Sometimes buttons are disabled while the action is enabled (when saving games notably)
- A strange bug : all the units stay frozen until I save the game, then they get back to life...

My test bed :
Debian 9 AMD64
Intel Core i7 4790
32 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 1070

Quoting: BeamboomI gotta start playing this game soon. it's in my catalogue, but man, these kind of games demand more time than I usually have these days!
Expect 40-50 hours to fill a 9-cell map.
