Well I had no prior knowledge of it and still really enjoyed it so no doubt you would too. Unless it's not "true" to it or something, you'd have to ask around the community I guess to see if it was well received. It's certainly a lot more mature than Deponia.

I'd also like to see A New Beginning working on GNU/Linux.

The Deponia games are prime examples of great puzzle design in modern games, though I'm not too fond of the stories. The end felt a whole lot more satisfying than that of The Whispered World though. Will definitely give The Dark Eye games a shot when they're ported to Linux.

I actually liked the stories a lot. I know a lot of people are critical, but I guess I just have odd tastes and I like dark humour and ironic vulgarity. People didn't like Rufus, but I loved him precisely because he was so easy to hate and the breaking of the fourth wall humour in making the player do horrible things worked well.

Dark Eye games are just a completely different style, much more serious and objectively have a better story (though I personally prefer Deponia). The first one was better than the second for me and think it's hugely underrated - very, very good game. I don't like the whole "multiple protagonists" thing in the second one, it's hard to like unless it's well pulled off and you get good character development for al of them (like with TBOUT).

I hope Kelvin and the Infamous Machine reaches the $35,000 required for voice acting. Dog Mendonca unfortunately didn't reach that stretch goal, which is shame because I like voice acting in adventure games.

Simulators were a genre just asking for parody, MMOs even more so. I hope they do a good job of it and would like to see more parody in games in the future.

I've lost all trust in DF after Spacebase and the travesty that was Broken Age... Seems ludicrous to have so many crowd funded projects at the same time, plus a new early access - kind of insulting. At the same time they're doing a huge disservice to games which could genuinely benefit from EA and Kickstarter funding, lowering the confidence of gamers who would otherwise invest in projects which need the money a lot more.

Sorry, but this one is a no for me - however good the game looks and I don't really care if it's a different team either - it's not a problem with the individuals working on these projects and I'm sure they're great people, it's a problem with management hanging on to the gravy train so much that they make it derail.

Unfortunately, I don't care for football, so I've not played a football manager game since Ultimate Soccer Manager on the Amiga.

I quite liked LMA Manager on the PS2, but mostly because I treated it as a business sim. I don't really know anything about football though, so just assumed bying the most expensive players possible was the way to go.
