HORI announced a special gamepad for Steam / Steam Deck

Glad to see some third party controllers, if there's a sale I might grab one anyway but it doesn't quite cover all of my needs.
Four grip buttons and track pads are a necessity for me now after using the Steam Deck for two years.
I really just want the Steam Deck controls s a game pad, with dual stage triggers of course but otherwise no real changes... well better d-pad certainly.

Lack of rumble is also a deal breaker at that price.
Though nice to have gyro and touch activation as I'd have expected that have been absent too.

Really, at the price I think it just needs rumble and could call it but eh, gotta have my track pads cause it really is convenient to have a trackball simulated mouse on the right track pad just, there when ever I need it and all the silly quick menus I like to make.

Really hope to see more third party Steam controllers but I really want to see them match the Steam Deck and improve on it rather than be a few steps behind.

Maybe 8bitdo might consider trying one.
Though really hope this starts a new standard for PC controllers as well.

No surprise that RPGs fit well on the deck.
Being able to sleep the machine and resume quickly is a big help for lengthy games plus playing them on the go.

Least for myself I rarely have the solid uninteruppted free time but plenty of smaller moments which is great for an arcade game run but lengthy stuff if I can't pause and resume I rarely finish even half.

Hope to see some competition in this space for the top Deck rpg.

Be nice if they could port the original content to the next game etc.

Personally think they should make a fully original Halo themed Forza on a halo ring and make a ton of original cars.
Nonlicense issues there.

Surprised we dont see some better licensing deals to keep games from being removed but maybe thats the way companies like it.

Get a load of Monster Hunter games from this Fanatical Bundle

Dang, if they released this before Humble's Monster Hunter bundle ended I would have went with them instead and use my coupon for a couple dollars off.
Wouldn't have expected them to do the exact same deal let alone so soon.
They really should have made a just the DLC bundle as well to catch anyone who got the humble bundle one first and anyone who wants a complete set.
Though I guess Capcom is probably pushing this particular deal.

Proton Experimental improves Halo Infinite, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and more

Weird I was playing Gunslinger last year, though it seems I used GE-Proton instead which I tend to hop over to if a game even twitches for a second but nice to see the old game getting some attention officially.

NVIDIA make it easier to get GeForce NOW on Steam Deck

A native app would be better but least it sounds more usable.
Tried to set it up in the past but never got it working.
Had no issue with game pass though.
May have to try it again now theres an install option.

Old School Rally plans full support for Steam Deck - got me feeling nostalgic
9 Apr 2024 at 6:24 pm UTC

Maybe Gen X racers would fit better.
Go woth the X treme sports at the time.
Though that would then include any snowboard game but hey racing game.

While I love to see more games like this the "ps1" style is a little lacking for me.
Wheres all the dithering and crunchy visuals?
I still play Sega rally 1 and 2 though been on a ridge racer kick too so thatbmusic is gonna need some more class as well.
Eh still early and even if its a little bit of a mobile game look and feel I'd still likely buy it.
Especially if the proce is low but, more quality and class will gey me tobpay more sobIbhope they dont stop inproving the game.
Hope to see more games like this but maybe more Dreamcast era with more drum and bass music.
Still gonna buy and horde then regardless though.

Fanatical has a bundle with Coromon special edition but this is just the base version.
Maybe not too different but wish they'd include the best version.

Pretty darn fun.
Like Knightfall a year or so back they nailed the concept pretty well.
Hopefully they keep supporting this one and grow it even more though it seems to already have plenty of content for now.
Some Steam Deck and linux optimizations wpuld be nice in the future.

Not my cup of tea but I do appreciate a gpod stealth game.
Excited to see what could be done with this open source project.
Bound to be some crazy stuff.
