At this point I'd rather have Halo on the GZDoom engine, can't possibly go wrong there.
Unreal 5 I guess might help with development time at least.

Looks alright if not a little simple graphically but thats part of the style.
I do miss how some earlier video pinball games in the 16bit era used to lock the screen scrolling camera for better focus on the flippers.
Locking the camera to the ball kinda hurts my eyes.
Here it seems the camera is a little loose which isnt too bad.
Hope this one does well.

I still have my box for this game.
It's good to see it get an open source revival.
Hoping to see some fan mods with fixes and improvements.
Certainly a memorable virtual pet mixed with town manager.
I do hope the sequel gets some attebtion too never tried that.
I remember reading some guides on how to get the good ending the best way was to be a little evil or discipline a lot which gives the player's hand cursor a dark mean look.
Seemed silly.
Also thought the local weather in real life matching feature was neat for the tine.
Could be implemented much better now but back then I could never get it working but not inportant anyway.
Definitely gotta give this a run.
Just hope my game disc is still intact heh.
That and a working disc drive.

Tried the tutorial on Steam Deck and ran fine.
Had a fully featured steam deck button layput which was nice to have right from the start.
Heck it runs better than my laptop does but it is an aging gtx 1060 6gb.
So far from what I tried I like the game.
The characters dont appeal to me too well but there is a team play dynamic.
I do like that era style though.
Reminds me of Gigantic in a way.
The weird soft NDA is odd and confusing but glad it's over and everyone can freely share things about the gane.

Descenders is a favorite of mine I bought it twice even.
Once on Switch before Steam Deck was a thing, just nice to have a pgysical copy.
It did have some control issues as I kept forgetting about the trick buttons for instance and sometimes it was a little bland and repetitive but it was still a good game to chill out to.
It's been awhile since I've had a good snowboard game to just jump into and this looks like it would fit well.
Glad they are going for all the downhill sports they can manage that'll be nice.
Maybe unicycles and hang gliders could fit somehow?
How bout down hill ninja running grappling hook time trails?
Hamster ball?
Hope some goofy junk gets in there too but Snowboarding looks like it'll be nice.
Hope for splitscreen co-op too.
Looking forward to this one.

Cute but seems nore cost effective to get one of the bigger ones.
Great for anyone just starting out perhaps.
Now if they could just offer some more replacement parts for the deck like the pCBs for the shoulder buttons or trackpads.
I guess those need special calibration?

I get black recordings randomly on my Deck.
Non-strambganes especially but sometimes regular games.
It seems to be effected by some windowed games I guess then stays stuck recordibg all black ubtil I give it a full system restart.
It has mostly beeb inconsoistabt but lately just goes black a lot so I've opted to just disable it till it's fixed.
Been thinking of reinstallibg the Decky plugin eveb.
Surprised by the oddly specific Okami HD steam input fix, that's some dedication right there.
Don't think even Nintendo would go back to fix such a thing after so long.
Reminds me to replay okami again, been too long without an artistic and challanging adventure with style.

Glad to see some third party controllers, if there's a sale I might grab one anyway but it doesn't quite cover all of my needs.
Four grip buttons and track pads are a necessity for me now after using the Steam Deck for two years.
I really just want the Steam Deck controls s a game pad, with dual stage triggers of course but otherwise no real changes... well better d-pad certainly.
Lack of rumble is also a deal breaker at that price.
Though nice to have gyro and touch activation as I'd have expected that have been absent too.
Really, at the price I think it just needs rumble and could call it but eh, gotta have my track pads cause it really is convenient to have a trackball simulated mouse on the right track pad just, there when ever I need it and all the silly quick menus I like to make.
Really hope to see more third party Steam controllers but I really want to see them match the Steam Deck and improve on it rather than be a few steps behind.
Maybe 8bitdo might consider trying one.
Though really hope this starts a new standard for PC controllers as well.

No surprise that RPGs fit well on the deck.
Being able to sleep the machine and resume quickly is a big help for lengthy games plus playing them on the go.
Least for myself I rarely have the solid uninteruppted free time but plenty of smaller moments which is great for an arcade game run but lengthy stuff if I can't pause and resume I rarely finish even half.
Hope to see some competition in this space for the top Deck rpg.
