Is balanced really that much better running than quality?

I have a highend desktop for desktop gaming and pc usage. i use my steamdeck as a handheld for gaming and as a psuedo laptop for when im say in the living room and need to internet. granted im sure someone who only has the SD for a pc would be different

i liek appimage and flatpack both for different reasons. appimage is nice for stuff like github or a random obscure app, and flatpack for 'app stores' experiences or things that should be sandboxed. both have a place

Quoting: RavenWingsWould it be possible to have a full OS (Windows) running on the Dock-M.2, connect two monitors and have it all run somewhat useable for non-gaming-purposes? I doubt this will be possible over the single USB-C on the Deck, but I lack any serious experience on this topic.

More I/O is very high on my wishlist for a Steam Deck 2. To this day I´m still amazed by the amount of ports my little old GPD Win 1 had
considering that you can put windows on the sd card and not have much issue i assume this would too. but id still personally just dual boot on a 1TB nvme internally if i wanted windows
Maybe I'm living in the past, but . . . will Windows even run from an SD card, or anywhere else that isn't a computer's primary hard drive? I remember back in the day it was certainly the case that Linux would boot from a USB but for Windows that wasn't remotely a thing.
yes, its easy to put windows on the sd card. eventually i think steamos will be able to be there too

I'm not surprised. Its the only dock that : comes with display port 1.4(the others all say they have 1.2 IF they have it at all), lets you do firmware updates without windows, comes with a charger line real laptop/computer docks do so you can leave it in one place without having to plug and unplug.

plus is priced decently ,in line with laptop docks. i do have a jsaux dock i got the cheapest one to tide me over, but when my steam dock gets here today i aint gonna use it anymore unless its for travel.
