Forspoken needs desktop Linux to spoof being a Steam Deck to work

Quoting: tohurSteamDeck=1 only applies if you are using a Nvidia GPU I think as my game launches just fine without it. also highly suggest using gamemode with gamemoderun %command% . I got this thing included with the GPU I bought over the summer so if you do not own the game yet I would wait TBH for a sale or after some updates because the game is poorly optimized on PC as it runs like crap on both Linux and Windows for me
I have a rx6600xt and yesterday I tried the demo. It doesn't launch.
I'm sure with this parameter it uses dx11 or a version with less features with dx12 (wine can emulate/adapt many dx12 features but not all).
It's not worth it 80€ for a game. For me I think 60€ it's the maximum for a AAA game.
We are on a recession plus inflation and they are increasing the price.
For me it's a pass even if it were a native game.
Hope they fix it for the next update. It's not complicated to make a function if(linux) then, else other.

MSI: Win a change to give me you money.
ME: No thanks.

I thought that companies wanted to sell as much as possible, not as less as possible.

Quoting: Cmdr_IrasInteresting project; though I have of course just swapped my Nvidia GTX1070 for a AMD RX 6700XT.
Same for me, gf660 to 6600XT. (graphic cards are to expensive)

3 Minutes to Midnight devs say it's going well for full Linux / Steam Deck support

I'm waiting for this game. On 2018 one of the devs at Barcelona said that it would be Linux and in Catalan.
They had a mini-demo playable back then.
I thought that it was dead. Hope it runs well when it's finished.

Quoting: Geppeto35sounds good. Does it work on Steamdeck? did you try it Liam?
I'm sure it will, but it needs keyboard and mouse.
I'm sure that it has no controller support.

It's to expensive for a 70 series. It should be under 400€$.
Nvidia thinks money grows on trees.

Immortals Fenyx Rising now on Steam but quite messy on Steam Deck

If I remember well, I tried this game on the switch and stadia (demo), and it had no problems.
It's a shame becouse I liked the demo.
Buy why have they have to have another laucher? I hate to have to have multiple lauchers to run a game.
I don't care about achivements, news or auto updates. What I want it's to play a game.
If I have to have multiple acounts to login a game, it's no fun.

Proton Hotfix from Valve gets The Witcher 3 next-gen DX12 working on Steam Deck
15 Dec 2022 at 8:06 pm UTC

For me with the fix on my arch with rx6600xt and r1600X it hangs and gets the whole screen corrupted.
I can only go then to the console and kill the game. And it seems that I only can reboot to get to the desktop (restarting the desktop doesn't seem to work).
It needs a little more work. I haven't test the performance, but I tried all at maximum and it seems ok (I used to play it with a gf660, so I don't require hight fps).

Quoting: whizseTurn the windscreen into a monitor. Turn the steering wheel into an input device. Not a bad rig for a driving sim!
And with realistic crashes!

- Sorry boss, I cannot go to work because I have no battery left after playing all day.
No, the car has to be a car, not a gaming pc. I prefer having less technology at the car and having more battery life.
