Nice card, but to expensive. We need a good gaming card for around (or below) 200€. I miss the old single slot card that played everything.

We need a launcher to "rule them all". Lutris it's near, but it doesn't work well for me. (Needs to install the other stores and has problems to synchronize).

Hope they'll fix this soon. I failed to put enough time in that game, and one of the principal reasons that I bought it was because it is Linux native.

This might be the most expensive and over the top Steam Deck bag I've seen yet

I prefer the "Gaming on linux" way
it's cheaper.
I'm sure we will find other ways/cases cheaper that will fit.

Surprising probably no one, most people use the Steam Deck as a handheld

And as for me, I was expecting to play more, but I think most of the time I use it at night at the bed watching videos and navigating on internet.
You need to much concentration after a working day to play a game.

It's it became as good as simon the Sorcerer or Discworld, it's worth a try. And if apart of that it's linux native, many claims that will be and then they aren't, it's an instant buy.

I'm not to impressed. It's to expensive. Yes it's better than nvidia price, but still to expensive.
And I don't understand the AI accelerator part.

Steam Deck UI comes to Desktop in Beta to replace Big Picture Mode
28 Oct 2022 at 6:26 am UTC

Quoting: CybolicIt's actually been in the stable client for months. Before now, it just had to be launched with two arguments instead of the one. I was running it for a couple of months earlier in the year with gamescope (behaves better that way) using the following command:
gamescope -W 3440 -H 1440 --steam -f -- /usr/bin/steam-runtime -steamos -gamepadui
Back then I got annoyed with the client trying to control the system - things like shutting down the OS on exit or wanting to restart the system, which makes perfect sense on Steam Deck, but not on desktop - so I went back to the standard client.

EDIT: I assume the new stuff is that it works better without gamescope - first step to becoming a proper desktop client.
I was having a big Deja vu with this news. I remembered trying it with my linux desktop but I didn't remember how.
Still, the new interface lacks the media player. Hope they improve it.
