Fig better do something about all these games pulling this bull shit.Which is what it exactly what it is moving to the EGS after you promise to be on Steam. I hope either Fig does something about how many times this has happened or the courts elsewhere do because you pulled this bull shit in any other industry many of these devs would have all ready been dragged into court of violating contracts. Them pledging to supporters that they will be on Steam and then not shipping on Steam can easily land them in hot water, I mean if some people are going after the Metro devs/Deepsilver for the same reason what makes these smaller devs think they can get away with it otherwise.
The real kicker is that Fig's own words boil down to it being a preorder service unlike Kickstarter. These kind of moves are all ready eroding Fig's reputation among gamers and it causes a lot of bad blood for these devs. People taking Epic's money are thinking too short term and it shows.

The dev of "Marble It Up!" had intriguing words to say about the native vs Steam Play argument for a Linux version

EDIT: Also has Mac port but no Linux when even though Linux has a lower market share that we Linux users actually tend to buy more games, and I've read devs talking about the fact that's true even outside of Steam. Which I think is part of the reason why you are seeing more games with a Linux version but not a Mac build, plus it doesn't help developing for mac takes extra hardware that is pricey where as Linux worst case scenario it takes an extra disc and some effort to test it.

Quoting: liamdaweWorth reading Ethan's tweets about this: https://twitter.com/flibitijibibo/status/1134236589297717248?s=19 [External Link]He hit most the points I was going to bring up including the fact that any thing using the Mono based side of Unity is as native on Windows as it is under Linux. Granted I don't think I would have been as polite pointing things out as he was. Hopefully the dev has enough brains not to try and take any pot shots at Ethan but sadly it seems brains is not a department this particular dev is leading in though.

Looks good I definitely could go for a key myself.

I've been meaning to pick this up at some point. Looks fun but at the same time I'm drowning in RPG's I need to get through right now anyways.
We have some keys for 'Tank Maniacs' for those willing to test and give feedback

I wouldn't mind a key, plus I can provide some performance feedback info for the devs given my specs are on the low end side of things. Plus looks good been looking for another artillery game for my library and I have discovered recently over the last year or so I love doing beta tests as it gets me playing something for longer than I normally do where I just kind of bounce off stuff and never play for very long. (On that note I need to do some more testing for the devs working on DASH later today)
The Swords of Ditto is a much better and more interesting game with Mormo's Curse

Quoting: Cadre ColaUnfortunately, I had to use Proton to play this one. For some reason the Linux version on Steam doesn't want to launch (prepare to launch then nothing). It's a very good game though.Yeah I was looking into the needed libraries and it's a no go for me so even if I buy it eventually it's going to be using Wine as one of the dependencies takes out several of my applications that also use it but are 64bit. I've been a bit leery about buying it because I know GameMaker Studio games always have messy Linux dependencies as AFAIK it only still supports 32bit which nearly no one hardly runs in the Linux world anymore, which mean you often end up in situations like I'm in that getting the proper dependencies set up will mess up the rest of my machine so for one game it's just not as worth it for me.
The shoot 'em up 'ProtoCorgi' now has an updated demo, which is also on Steam for Linux too

Is it to early to be already wanting to say shut up and take my money. Love what I've played of the demo so far.
Minimalistic puzzle game 'Simple Dot' releasing next month, looks like it could be interesting

This looks good wish-listed for future reference for when it inevitably gets buried before I have money to get it. Plus hey I think given what it was tested on I think this is a game nearly every one with a PC of some form should be able to run which is nice to see every once in a while.
Quoting: scaineThis looks lovely, particularly since I can hide the ranking system. Reminds me, weirdly, of N+, but it's a puzzler. I suppose the price will be crucial. Not sure exactly what price point would put me off buying such a simple looking game... I paid £5 for TIS-100 without batting an eyelid though. Maybe a bit more, around the Bridge Constructor Portal £7.50 mark? Not to be totally off topic but I'm so glad we got a native port of N++ I felt a little guilty knowing I caved before it released considering I tend to keep a No Tux No Buck policy most the time but it was well worth the price of admission.
Anyway, wishlisted. It's only 3 weeks away.
Enter the Gungeon's final free update 'A Farewell to Arms' is up

But this is a little sad knowing that other than some balance and bug fixes this is the last major update that we will see for the game. I've owned it since 2016 still have not managed to see or unlock everything. Hell I think I've only killed on past and that was on a super lucky run that I still can not figure out how I managed it.

Quoting: dpanterDo people actually play EtG with a controller? :S:I tried it once, never again unless I'm doing co-op.

I've been thinking about tracking down a used i7 machine or something similar and sending it Tarn's way. I might email him here soon about it.
