Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is out now and Steam Deck Unsupported but SteamOS Compatible

I finished this game today and only had a few shader stutters in the beginning. But it was a smooth experience for me throughout. Running on a RTX 4080 Super at 5120x1440 - with an mgsdeltafix and was getting between 60-80fps for the majority of the experience on high detail and dlss set to balanced. I had seen footage of the game running on Windows with an AMD GPU it looked like a nightmare.

Just to let you know the story is probably the most complex and unique thing Dave Gilbert has ever written. Probably my favourite game of his that designed and coded in the Wadjet Eye library.

Proton Experimental fixes up issues for Final Fantasy XVI and multiple other games

Excellent, I had been playing it on my rarely used Win11 partition due to its graphical glitches and terrible performance on Linux. It would hang randomly in cutscenes as well and just kind of soft lock. I would have to go into the console and kill the game and then I got access to Wayland again :) Will test it out today.

I'm amazed at how prolific Cosmic Void is at making games, he churns one out every six months - truly impressive.

I'm amazed at this LOVE 2D game - will have to check out the source code to see how they created it. I always wanted to try and create a point and click game in Love2D. And not only that but they implemented FMOD into it as well.. truly a piece of wonderful indie gaming art.

NVIDIA 560 Linux driver Beta has Wayland improvements, defaults to open GPU kernel modules

Yeah I have an issue where the game would show like a tv signal test image at the start of games and some games wouldn't load at all. Using NVIDIA, hyprland and a 3080 on arch linux here. Rolled back.

Fallout 4 'Next Gen' update out now and Steam Deck Verified

So I'm guessing ultrawide screen resolutions make it "Next gen". I have never been able to get into any Bethesda game to be honest. I've tried - I just can't.

The Pokémon Company confirm investigation into Palworld

Honestly, considering how terrible the Pokémon games have been the past few years, no wonder Pal world is so popular. 95% of artistic works are derivative of something that has come before it, unfortunately. Look at music composition for example, the western musical system can only have so many combinations of notes before we just start repeating single note phrases, let alone chord progressions. How many songs are based off the same I-V-VI-IV chord progression - I would say every single pop song ever ;)

Quoting: Klaas
Quoting: grahfgamesbut it did crash every hour or so.
That's not that much fun, but still manageable. Did the game or the emulator crash?
I used a custom build of rpcs3 at the time, occasionally the emulator would hardlock occasionally - it was due to a sound bug in the emulator in regards to specifically MGS4. On saying that I did complete it fully and there were no visual glitches at all.
