Mesa 12 released, Vulkan for Intel, OpenGL 4.3 and more for open source graphics users
9 Jul 2016 at 3:58 pm UTC

Now that Mesa has almost caught up, I expect Khronos to come up with OpenGL 4.6 soon.
Major new features incoming that will take 2 years to be properly supported by Mesa. :D

It [Linux] is something we're exploring, but the main problem is that none of our team members run Linux
Don't pledge, Linux folks!

The Hive, a rather good looking RTS game has Linux support

"The Hive is a new story-driven fantasy game."
So it features a great (and not too short) single-player campaign?

Deep Silver & Techland are not supporting Dead Island Definitive Edition on Linux, at all

Quoting: slaapliedjeSo here's my thoughts on this... pretty sure they would give you the same shit run around if you were running ANY platform.

That means the Windows version is also not supported?

Quoting: slaapliedjeSeriously, besides some of the indie titles, when has any developer/publisher of a big title given two craps about something once their game is out and into the wild?
The are many examples where developer do care.
What about Blizzard, they provided regular fixes and minor feature updates to games older than 15 years (Diablo 2, Starcraft).

Isn't this a port by Icculus?
"Not available anymore" means we won't pay for additional maintenance work?
Sometimes more information would be very interesting.

And I totally agree. In-house porting is the way to go.

It might have been different years ago, but today:
If you want a Linux build, make the right choice of your
engine plus middleware and there should be next to no obstacles.

HITMAN looks like it's coming to SteamOS & Linux

Wow. This would be a new engine coming to Linux (Glacier 2).

I hope it's not one of the external porting companies.
I'd rather like to see more in-house ports by the developers.
THAT would be even better news!

Feral Interactive are teasing another new Linux & Mac port with a new clue

I guess it's a trolling attempt by Feral - to make us think it is DOOM.

Adventure RPG 'Evoland 2' Release Date Announced, Linux Release Shortly After

Quoting: fleskIt's taken much longer than I would have thought, but one of their guys is Haxe developer Nicolas Cannasse, so I haven't lost hope.
I'm not that optimistic. That bloody Adobe AIR is a stupid choice if you want to target Linux.

Also, they seem to strictly avoid answering any question about the Linux release.

Will this game ever be released on Linux?
It's currently in the new Humble Eye Candy Bundle but not available for Linux.
