Looks Like Shadow Of Mordor Won't Support AMD Graphics On Linux At Release
13 Jun 2015 at 5:03 pm UTC Likes: 4

My bet is, we will see this even more often from now on.

It's easy for developers and porters to claim it is AMD's fault.
AMD's reputation allows the easy blame game even *IF* it is just because
it would require the developers/porters extra work to *also* optimize the
game for AMD (because they did for NVidia in the first place, ofc).

Don't f*ck it up with Vulkan, AMD. Pretty please!
Driver support on all platforms has to be great right from the start.
This a chance of a lifetime, so to say. Don't miss it.

Quoting: MaelraneI want to support Feral, so I'll wait for Shadow of Mordor on their site :)
Don't you get Steam keys here?

If so, I guess you could buy them now and enter them on Linux once SoM/Linux is released.

Not perfectly sure, though.

Assembly Language Puzzle Game 'TIS-100' In Early Access On Steam

Nope. *sigh*

Saves are not usable across platforms.
Not sure this game uses cloud saves at all.

That's one of the very few things I'd consider great if Valve would ENFORCE
using the cloud saves API... AND making the saves work on all platforms on which the game is available.

This game is a true gem!

So it's available on Linux now?
I thought that it'll take them way longer ("later that year").
Let's hope it supports cross-platform cloud saves properly.
I don't want to start all over again.

More Details On XCOM 2 Emerge, With Linux Support
6 Jun 2015 at 7:24 pm UTC

So i heard XCOM 2 will still use a heavily modified Unreal Engine 3.x.
I guess that's why Feral is still in the game for doing a port.

With UE 4 Linux is just another target, right?
Unless there is no problematic 3rd-party middleware involved.

I hope rumours are not true that Newell just came up with Linux/SteamOS/SteamMachines to put pressure on Microsoft.
As Win10 seems like it will get good reception and "lacks" all the stuff Newell was afraid of, some people argue Valve might abandon Linux sooner or later. After all, SteamMachines missed the fantastic "Win8" time window to take off - and that sounds reasonable to me. :/

Would like to see another world add to that game as DLC.

XCOM 2 Revealed, Will Be Getting Linux Treatment

If it's using Unreal Engine > 3, porting (actually exporting) should be rather straightforward, shouldn't it?
Unless they're not using crappy middle ware, ofc.

Quoting: HamishWhile it obviously sucks for those who are suffering from this, I must admit to getting a certain amount of schadenfreude from this. Maybe even a little vindication. ;)
Wow, I wasn't aware that the German word schadenfreude is also common in the US. :)
