Makes getting away with cheating way easier.
Also, probably you're confusing "hate" and "bashing" with being upset.

Quoting: edqeYeah, it's really great for companies like Larian if people are more positive.Quoting: ShmerlA big post which sheds more light on what caused the delay: http://www.lar.net/2015/05/15/enhanced-edition/ [External Link]Thanks for sharing the link.
It has been sad to see all the hate and bashing here in GOL and linux_gaming reddit. Fortunately Linux players' tone in Larian forums has been much more positive.

I'd say it was kind of a "second chance" to make the Linux version a "day-1" release with this "Enhance Edition".
By stating Linux support in the Kickstarter campaign, common sense would suggest that this is one of the top priorities for Larian, no matter what the economical side and legal situation tells you. Otherwise you're just a bunch of a**holes.

Maybe that will turn out to be a high profile Kickstarter Linux-SCAM.
I'm glad we have Pillars of Eternity. A fantastic game in the same vein.
P.S.

Larian Studios Working On A New Game While Divinity: Original Sin Is Still Not On Linux

I don't know what's left to discuss.
In particular, I don't get how many here suggest that the promised and still lacking Linux version is something we should be less upset about than other things - because, you know, it's Linux and it's giving developers a hard time and we should be grateful that it's still on their list after all. WTF! :S:

Quoting: fraghopperI understand that Linux (and Mac, for that matter) users have the burden of proving that we will buy games and make it worth while for devs to port games to our platform. But if you do a kickstarter and you say you'll port something to Linux and people give you money predicated on that fact..... then that's what you do.Hell, yes. Exactly this.
I don't know what's left to discuss.

In-house Linux versions are great but here is something fishy obviously.
Having two developers working on the Linux target and not getting
something to ship in this long time shows that they are either lacking the
required skills (sorry) or that there are serious technical issues with the engine.
I bet Icculus alone would have ported that thing already (or it is practically not portable).

Quoting: liamdaweI won't defend a developer who promises, promises, promises and....nothing happens. If they eventually bring it to Linux then great for the people who helped them so long ago.Exactly this.
I think it's really bad to keep people waiting who funded them.

Interview With Linux Game Porter Knockout Games, Porter Of Shadow Warrior & More

To be honest, I'm not sure if this is AMD related but I guess it is:
When I first tried SW I had lots of prominent graphics errors (vertex errors?) in the intro. Spiky stretched triangles. This seems to be gone now with either an update by you or upgrading to Catalyst 15.3 (from 14.12).
What's still present is the red box under the cursor in the menu (that arrow head).
And performance is "not that great". (Phenom II X4 940, Radeon 7950, 8 Gb RAM).
My display features a resolution of 2560x1440 but even selecting 1280x720 does not seem to
affecting performance (positively).
Cheers!

Quoting: amelcher@subAh, thanks for your comment.
My main dev machine is a intel+nvidia gpu macbook pro 2012. I have a separate box I built with an AMD card specifically for fixing AMD issues for Shadow Warrior :-D. Are you hinting that you are having amd issues? I'm happy to help.
