Endciv, a game about building a town in the wastelands looks like it will come to Linux in experimental form

I'll keep an eye on it... Though I won't consider purchasing until A: It's officially Linux supported, B: Get's out of early access, and C: If it is well received by consumers and reviewers. To be honest though as of now I'm personally a bit fatigued with the wasteland/post-apocalypse settings in games... especially zombies, god I can't stand anymore zombies (not that this game has zombies or anything).

I wish it was the newer rise of the tomb raider... since I already own and have beaten this tomb raider. Still I'm glad to see support and will definitely have to give it another play.

finally a paradox grand strategy game that's not historically based! I could never fully get into their games because of the historically accurate setting... But this, this is something I could delve deep into.

How SteamOS could become a better console competitor

Linux users have fought and are still fighting for inclusion in games as well as other software. I personally don't want someone who chooses to use Windows or Mac to have to ask or +1 for Development support.
I honestly just think that people aren't that interested in the whole "PC experience on a TV!" And if they are they usually already do it by actually hooking their computer to a TV. I don't think a lot of people are gonna buy a separate PC or "Steam Machine" just for that purpose.

I cringe everytime a developer refers to Windows as PC.

Used to be super competitive in the game... But I haven't played in ages and just don't feel the need to go back.

GOL Asks: What have you been playing recently?

Dying Light, Saints Row IV, Insurgency, Viking Conquest, KOTOR 2, ADOM (steam version). Picked all of these up on the winter holiday sale and I'm having a blast. Linux has come a long way since I started using it... Though that was only 4 years ago.

Murder Miners FPS Is Being Ported To Linux By Ethan Lee, Looks Like Fun

This game looks kinda fun... though I'm tired of blocky games now (excluding terraria & starbound). However this game falls into the same issues as all other indie multiplayer games, and that is a lack of a healthy/stable playerbase.

Insurgency FPS Now Has The Linux Port On Their Official Trello Todo List

It's ashame that they have to do all the porting work themselves instead of valve giving them cs:go's Linux code. Still it makes me happy that they haven't forgotten about us.

Anyone Interested In A GOL Game Jam?

I like the idea... Though I think you shouldn't get rid of themes... I think with limitation comes creativity. I think this could be a good way to showcase the Linux platform and the site in a fun and positive way.
