It's beautifully retro. Add more maps, cars, and maybe other game modes and I'll totally buy it.

Opinion: Can Linux Be A Viable Gaming Platform? Thoughts From A Sympathetic Game Developer

This is a good read... However I think this "dev" has vastly overestimated how many FOSS users there are, and they can't really be considered as a lack of sale because they wouldn't buy your product anyways (similar to pirates but they don't even want to steal it). Lastly as much as I don't want to say it... It can in many cases be the developer's fault for the high cost of supporting Linux or even Mac. If the developers would develop their games with cross-platform in-mind then platform support would have considerably lower costs for support. Though I understand that Linux (especially) and Mac (sometimes) are afterthoughts.

To be fair they have stated they are working on adding content rather than non-game breaking bugs, good animations, and game optimization. Though I'm still going to hold off until they do an officially complete release of the game.

This game's multiplayer is pretty much already dead, and multiplayer is all it has to offer (that and a plethora of DLC).

I owned the game when it was on windows and loved it... So if this is truly coming to Linux I will be super happy. Although I still have a windows partition I don't like going to it... Though I am guilty of using it to play GTA 5 when it launched (sorry :P).

The only good option is to add a donation button. Then when you hit subscribe a popup will ask you if you would like to donate. For profit cuts I think 100% should go to mods but since that is probably not going to happen I would at least like to see 50% for modders, 25% for bethesda, and 25% for valve.

This is dreadful news! Mods should be free... I'm okay with modders asking for donations but putting your mod behind a paywall kinda crosses a line for me.
