Valve is on this faster than the game's own developer. That really is something!
Or, to put it a different way, the game's own developer is on this slower than Valve.
Although really, Valve moved on this pretty quick.

Quoting: GuestI'm lucky that the games I play don't deal with it, but from what I've seen I would have a very hard time trusting the "support" from EAC. It seems like I see this often from different games.
Now that I think about it, I don't believe I have ever played a game that used anti-cheat. Just not into multiplayer, I guess.

It was pretty dashed smooth, wasn't it? Normally I expect a bit of weird stuff during a transition.

Steam Deck Beta gets some essential bug fixes and new Gyro options

Quoting: PyreticWhile I like the Gyro options, I wonder why they're working on it so much. I suppose they're trying to encourage developers to take a swing at it using Steam Input.
Hard to say. Could be that or some other strategic thing. Or, someone at Valve who uses them might have just said "I am sick of the gyro not working up to potential!"

Quoting: 14It feels like every reaction to something bad these days is blamed on capitalism.
What do you want people to blame it on? Feudalism? Capitalism is what we have (until the revolution comes ); it's like farmers blaming everything on the weather--of course they do, and of course it's true.
OK, next time someone looks at me funny, I'm blaming capitalism. And when I do, I expect a grave nod from you in agreement, maybe a "dag nabbit" and knee slap to go with it.
Cute. Specious, but cute.
Of course, if the someone looks at you funny because you look like you might be gay or trans, then they probably did it because of a social media network funded by the remaining Koch brother and various similar people, who funded the network in hopes of gaining shock troops for fascism who would help them avoid constraints on their ability to keep heating the planet for profit . . . so, yes, still capitalism, I nod gravely.
