The developer of Helium Rain gave an update on their sales, low overall sales but a high Linux percentage

I meant to buy this game after I finished "Everspace" but since it was early access and there were so many other upcoming titles on the horizon, I decided to wait for a bit. I will certainly purchase it soon though.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is now officially available on Linux, here’s a look at it with benchmarks

Oh no, I was actually hoping for some initial performace problems, so I could hold off on buying until some more money drops into my account. However, with performance like *this*, I have to buy at once...it's the law. :'(

Roguelike narrative card game 'Cultist Simulator' to release with Linux support on May 31st

This does look rather interesting. I had missed this as well but hearing that it comes from the developer of "Sunless Sea" makes it quite promising.

I like the whole lovecraftian style of the game but I hope there´s a bit more graphical razzle-dazzle to the game, other than these rather bland looking cards.

Nightdive Studios show off how System Shock is returning to the original vision

Sounds rather hopeful at least.

Though I am kind of curious about what *precisely* they were cooking up before they started over. Was it really so wrong/disastrous/fragmented as they are making it sound like? Or could most of what they had worked on been integrated into the finished game without making the end result a horrific "non-system shock" failure...?

2nd generation AMD Ryzen desktop processors now available to pre-order

I considered waiting for this, when I bought my Ryzen a few weeks ago. However, everything I read suggested that improvements and performance boosts would not be very significant.

So, I figured that I might as well buy a "zen-cpu", skip the "zen+" generation and then look at possibly upgrading to a "zen2" cpu in 2019 or 2020.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will release for Linux this month

Great! Although, I hope it's released with a little bit of a sale, given that I just bought "Ruiner" and I was planning to buy some special edition of "PoE2" in the early days of May. Not to mention that I just bought a new mobo, new ryzen cpu and 16gb of stinking expensive ram.

Guess it's noodles for dinner for a while. ;)

RUINER is now in Beta for Linux, it's also an early unlock in the new Humble Monthly

Bought! Only wish I had time to try it out tonight, unfortunatly it'll have to wait until tomorrow. :|

Crusader Kings II is free to keep if you grab in the next two days

Thanks for the heads-up! I've never looked into this before either, as historical wargames are usually not so much my thing (with a few exceptions). However, your description does make it sound interesting!

Brutal action shooter 'RUINER' will arrive on Linux this Friday

Quoting: GuestCan't really afford it but think I'm going to pick it up regardless,
Well, the first 13 to comment in their announcement on steam gets a key for free. So, if money is tight you might get lucky if you act quickly! ^_^

EDIT: Or possibly they will pick 13 winners out of the commenters based on some kind of criteria. "-We will choose the lucky 13, by selecting only good Puppies ;)"

Valve confirms their continued support for Linux gaming

"other Linux initiatives in the pipe that we're not quite ready to talk about yet", this statement did sound quite hopeful to me. However, the follow up "SteamOS will continue to be our medium to deliver these improvements", made things quite a bit less exciting for me.

I was hoping for something more directly related to getting more existing games ported to linux or getting more developers committed to releasing linux versions of upcoming aaa-titles. Well...at least something vaguely related to those things but this sounds more like various software-improvements that may not have any actual impact on the above things at all.

Hope I'm dead wrong about this of course. ;)
