Turn-based tactics roguelike Depth of Extinction adds expanded exploration options and more

Seems great! Damn, it's not the first time I've cursed myself for loading all my designated "gaming money" into my steam-wallet.

It's just so damn convinient to have it all collected in the same place where I eventually plan to play the game, with the added benefit of minimizing the use of my credit card(s) while online. (phishing paranoia for sure, but watcha gonna do)

The situation with 'Underworld Ascendant' and Linux support is currently a little confusing

Um, if I wasn't so eager to have the game on steam, I would consider this to be a real "LOL-situation", where some gaming-studio intern without a clue, was given free reign to answer forum questions.

I wish they could simply explain, what the difference is between making the windows verson available for sale on steam and making the whole trio available for sale on steam (like it's normaly done when you have win/mac/tux versions of a game). They make it sound like doing so requires some kind of "Special Sale Plan", that is fundamentally different from selling the windows version alone.

Still, assuming they *do* have fully working versions for mac/tux, I am willing to write this of as poor communication. (fingers crossed)

The 80's inspired action-adventure Crossing Souls is out, it's pretty good

I found the game very charming as well, with a nice character gallery, neat retro-graphics and a rather interesting story as well. If the game had only been a more typical adventure with puzzles & problem solving and occasional fighting sequences thrown in for variety, then I would have given it top marks.

Unfortunatly, the combination of the above mentioned "save-system" and many rather lenghty platform sequences, ruins the fun in multiple points of the game. Still, it's well worth playing even with the frustrations.

Hmm...nah! I´ll wait for "Underworld Ascendant" instead and keep my fingers crossed for a full linux release.

While I have played Ultima IV, VI, VII, VIII and IX, I was never a die hard fan of the series but back in those days the pickings of crpgs were much slimmer and I played whatever I could get my hands on.

Sci-fi mystery 'The Station' has released, it’s a short but memorable experience

"I clocked almost exactly two hours to finish it the first time, which actually felt exactly right. I often have a problem with games feeling like they go on too long"

Unfortunatly, I have the opposite problem. I love long games and about 2 hours is at least 5-6 hours to little for me to buy. Sorry to say this, because the game does look interesting to me but at the current price I just can't justify a purchase.

Not when I soon expect to pay 45,99€ for PoE2 and also buy (as soon as available on steam) NWN:EE, The Last Night, Depth of Extinction and Surviving Mars. That's not even counting possible "surprise releases" of Rise of the Tomb Raider, LiS: Before the Storm or Ruiner.

Development on the new System Shock has been paused

A real pity, while there are many other titles I look forward to, both during the spring of 2018 as well as the rest of the year, this was one of my most highly anticipated.

As mentioned above, I really hate these kind of vague & unspecific statements that mostly creates more questions rather than provides tangible answers. Too often these kind of: "Something has been messed up, but keep your chins up because things will work out eventually...probably...maybe...or not", turns out to actually end with the "Or Not" part.

Can you hear that? It's the Steam sales train and it's arrived, also Steam Wishlist revamp

SOMA, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Transistor are all 75% off, three rather great games.
Observer 33% off.
Dreamfall Chapters 40% off.

Unusual artstyle, the cockpit-view looks a bit like something from "Borderlands". It sounds like the game has an unusual story as well, it could certainly be a fun game I'll be keeping my ears open for impressions.

Turn-based tactics game with RPG elements 'Depth of Extinction' revamps character classes

I'll buy it as soon as it's possible to do so on steam. Unfortunatly, I have too much cash in my "steam-wallet" and in my "GOG-account" as well, to spend extra cash on any developers site.

Still, I really look forward to plying this one.

Lovecraftian horror game 'Conarium' officially released for Linux

Heh, I was a bit quick on the trigger and missed the sale. Still, I can't really feel bad about that since I do want developers who support linux to make a profit and I also want more lovecraftian games. (just became aware that Frogwares, who are known for their Sherlock Holmes adventures, are making "The Sinking City" that looks very promising)

Haven't played the game yet, beyond checking that it launches without any problems. I'm currently rather obsessed with "Tangledeep", damn it's addictive with all the possible class-combinations you can get by switching "jobs" and thereby combining skills from widely different classes.
