Hardcore retro-futuristic adventure game Far-Out looks awesome, coming to Linux

I´ve had it on my wishlist for a while. Hopefully, either this game or "The Last Night" will become an early hit in 2018 (or both if we´re really lucky).

What are you playing this weekend?

I´ll probably be starting either "Observer" or "Layers of Fear" tomorrow, since I finally milked the last achievments from the "Everspace DLC".

SteamOS is still alive with a new Beta, although it's a rather uninteresting one

And to think that for a short time I was naive enough to believe that Valve would support their "SteamOS & the Steammachines" in a similar way that Microsoft supports their Xboxes or Sony their Playstations with corresponding OS:s.

Not with exclusive titles nor to the same extent in any other way but still...a strong and commited effort by Valve to challenge Windows as "The PC-Gaming OS of Choice". To say that my expectations fell short would be a truly absurd understatement.

Mantis Burn Racing needs more support if it is to come to Linux

A bit of a let down. In particular since 10 pages of requests are actually more than I expected and I initially believed that they simply wanted something like 3-5 pages, just to show that: "Yes, there is genuine interest!".

After all, we are not talking "GTA V" here and there´s bound to be quite a number of people who are not making their voice heard but might still buy it once it´s released on linux.

I don´t know if I´m being unfair here but I can´t help feeling a bit like "being played for a sucker" with the wishy-washy promise of a port based on arbitrary and unspecific factors that might change from day-to-day decisions.

Lovecraftian horror 'Conarium' powered by Unreal Engine is still coming to Linux, could be soon

Looks really nice! This is a great time for Lovecraft, with this game on the way and the upcoming "Call of Cthulhu: The Official Videogame" in early 2018, as well as the promising looking "Moons of Madness".

The Fallout-inspired 'ATOM RPG' will launch on into Early Access next month with Linux support (updated)

Well, this certainly looks very nice and any game that can at least at some level be likened to: "Fallout, Wasteland, System Shock, Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate" will always be a bullseye where my gaming interest is concerned.

So, I'll probably buy it as soon as I can.

Remastered adventure game 'Noctropolis' is now available for Linux

I vaguely remember buying/playing this somewhere around 95-96. Can't really remember much detail though, so I'll probably pick it up.

EVERSPACE expansion released, will work on Linux soon and it's coming to GOG

Works for linux now. (on STEAM, don´t know about GOG) I´ve started playing it a little, the new ship seems pretty neat and I am really looking forward to checking out the new storylines.

Space shooter 'ASTROKILL' updated with official Linux support

It does sound interesting, just wish they could change the name of the game. "Astrokill" sounds like some kind of ridiculous parody (Spaceballs 2: Where No Balls Have Gone Before!!!), which actually makes me a bit hesitant about giving it a chanse.

The next three major Steam sale dates have been leaked

In my case, steam sales doesn´t mean much to me anymore. When I used windows, I used to wait for the sales and then splurge on tons of new games but since switching to linux the pickings have naturally gotten much slimmer.

So, it´s almost gotten to the point where I try to *avoid* the sales, in order to make sure that the linux-porter or linux-supporting developer get the most money from the linux sales. (not that I really think I´m making any significant difference)
