Shadwen, the new stealth game from Frozenbyte has a playable Linux demo

Sweet! I've had both the new "Thief" game and "Styx: Master of Shadows" on my wishlist for a long time now (with little hope of seeing a port) and this game looks like it has quite a bit in common with both of them.

Modern 3D, stylish graphics, high production values and a possibly interesting story to boot, we need much more of this on Linux. :)

Quoting: wolfyrionJeez!!! Not another turn based strategy game!!!
Quoting: GuestI’m also very sick of all these turn-based strategy games.
Well, I for one love turn based strategy games! ;)

However, having said that, I love *variety* even more. It feels like it was just a few years ago that I was desperate for tb-games and I felt like this genré was a dying breed but then came a rennaissance and a veritable flood of tb-games have arrived since then.

Now Linux has an abundance of this particular type of game, ranging from awful to fantastic. So...I must admit that I'd rather see other types of ports these days. (not counting the "fantastic" examples of the genre obviously)

Don't really know anything about this particular title though (and never played a "Hitman" game), so I'll have to do some more checking before deciding.

Sunless Sea looks like it may get an official Linux build, game looks creepy & awesome

I've wanted this for quite some time as well. At first, it was because I thought it was some kind of Lovecraftian horror game but as I learned more about the game it seemed fascinating enough on it's on merits.

Hope it shows up soon.

XCOM 2 is so popular it has beaten the all time peak player count of a number of games

Quoting: GuestThe timed missions in XCOM EU/EW were okay, but I had the most fun with the non-timed missions so I'm not sure how much I'll like XCOM 2. Until the game is patched though, and until the price for the full game is reasonable, I will be playing a copy for free or will be playing something else.
I must confess that I was a bit worried at first, since I think the first 2 (3?) missions were timed. While I don't mind timed missions, I certainly wouldn't want a TBS game were *all* the missions were on a clock, then I might as well play RTS for a similar "stress-factor".

Fortunately, that was not the case and 18 hours in I think it's a pretty good mix of "run-for-the-goal" missions and "sneak & flank" missions.

Btw. going off topic for a moment. The release of "Firewatch" is imminent and the game is pre-loading on Linux. Based on the first reviews I've seen it's supposed to be pretty great. (if you're looking for a more "reasonably priced" game that is)

Very nice & well deserved! I practically do not dare to play for more than a mission at a time anymore, otherwise I lose all sense of time and miss out on eating, bathroom breaks and any time-sensitive tasks.

Ghost Theory, a unique horror game that also supports Linux, is now on Kickstarter!

I really liked DEX a whole lot and wouldn't hesitate to support a sequel. However, "ghosts" and "haunted locations" are not by themselves of particular interest to me. Sure, it *could* certainly be a great "ghostbusting thrillride", but I have difficulty making up my mind about this project.

Pretty sure it was the soundtrack, as it was greyed out until now in my DLC list.
Awww....yeah it *did* seem to good to be true so soon after release. Meh, it's certainly fully playable as is, even if I had hoped for a few fps more.

Hum, hum...guess I'll continue playing but *really* slowly, maybe switch over to some other game frequently. Fingers crossed, that'll give them enough time to ship a "performance patch" before I progress to far in the story. It's a darned shame, since this game seems to live up to the expectations as far as gameplay is concerned.
