It´s great that we can finally see some movement on the Linux-front with this title.
Ever since the kickstarter for "Darkest Dungeon", I´ve been really eager to try this game and I hoped that it would become available in "early access" but that was a no go. If I dare to hope that it shows up during late february, then this would be a great month (with both XCOM2 and Dying Light:The Following soon to come). Still that might be a bit too optimistic but with the above mentioned titles (and the Agatha Christie adventure), March would be fine as a release month as well.
There has been a bit of negativity during the "ea" period for the game, I think the gist of it, is that the development has made the game more challenging/frustrating for players with a bit too much "grinding". Obviously, I don´t know how I´ll feel about that yet but everything I´ve seen from it makes me fairly certain that this game will be a lot of fun to play until the frustration (hypothetically) kicks in.
Sooo...still pretty hyped! :)

Huh, weird that they are porting this "old" 2013 game instead of the just released game. Unless, of course, they intend to port both games. I certainly hope that this is the beginning of lots of Square Enix ports for Linux.

Assuming they can deliver on all they promise, then this sounds like exactly my kind of favorite game-type.

Sweet!!
I was actually a bit worried for a while there. I really wish more developers would start using steam to communicate their plans for various OS releases, instead of simply ignoring or simply missing page after page of questions/requests.

Eh, no problem. I have actually done my best to avoid news, previews and anything else about "Torment" that could be "spoilerish" . With "Pillars" I had tons of pre-launch knowledge about the game but this time I really want to experience the release with as little prior insight into the game as possible.

Nice, but not really my thing anymore.
I had a period sometime around Y2K that lasted for about a year. During that time I was gripped by "emulation-mania" (lol) and I went from MAME with all it ´s old arcade titles to "UAE" with all the old Amiga titles and other emulators as well, SNES, Gameboy, Sega etc. etc. etc.
However, I eventually came to grips with the fact that I had very little interest in actually *playing* any of these oldies. I had more than enough contemporary games to keep me occupied. Nope, it was just the challenge of amassing a library of old and often obscure games that was the entertainment. Like a coin or stamp collection really.
So...end of story. I think I may still have a box of old cd:s filled with emulators and old games up in the attic somewhere.

Very nice!
I´ve long hoped that "Frogware" would have their Sherlock Holmes game-series ported to Linux. However, Poirot is close enough to satisfy my need for adventure-sleuthing. Just keep `em coming!

Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA V, Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Mafia III, Doom, Dragon´s Dogma: Dark Arisen...anything from those titles are the only ones that would make me deliriously happy right now.
Still, I´m pretty certain that there´s nil chanse of that happening. So, I would be ok with anything that´s not: sports/racing/rts or minor indie title.

Hope it´s true.
There´s been a "Linux request thread" going since september on the games steam-forum. No response from any developer yet though.
I used to love MoO almost as much as I loved MoM, back in the days.

Very nice! This will be a Day 1 purchase for me.
I also agree with the above comments, the first game was not that great and it could certainly have been a few hours longer but all the same it was not a bad shooter. The game-mechanics worked well, can't recall any bugs, the story was reasonably entertaining and the environments were atmospheric.
