Oh boy, I really hope Feral can get enough cash out of this game..
That's a little unfair of Square Enix to do that so soon after the Linux release.
Maybe so, but this wasn't exactly hard to predict based on the discounts Square Enix tends to give their games a year after release.
Maybe so, would have thought they'd have given at least a month before the drop.

Quoting: rcritSadly it won't install for me. It will only download the shader cache and not the game.
Yep the very same thing happens to me now, before I cound't even proceed to the checkout on Steam and now it only downloads the shader caches... Not a brilliant release this...
Not to be funny but it seems to be an issue at your end, the rest of us appear to have had no problem with it, including myself.

Hardly Ferrals fault, No ?
The purchase problems where clearly Steams fault since they had some filter that decided that one of the included DLCs in the bundle (and the bundle is the only available item for this game in my region) was already present in the game itself so it refused to continue.

However the "only download shader cache" solved itself, once the shaders where downloaded the game appeared in the download queue. So it was just that it didn't appear in the queue in the normal way.

edit: and in no way have I blamed Feral for this, this is all on Steam.
Ah, I see what you mean. Never looked at what downloaded first as set to install then left it.

The wording used came across like it was aimed at ferral screwing up to me, Sorry.

I think it's good that Microsoft is moving towards open source software, rather than sticking to their own proprietary projects.
Well, If (and really if) MS really want to show their love towards Linux, they should start by open sourced and/or port Internet Explorer to Linux.

Why? Simple, opening up their own proprietary IP (even obselete one) is the simple but effective way to prove that they're really committed towards FOSS.

You cannot just taking everything without giving up something.
They probably don't want to do that as they may get laughed/ridiculed for the state of it :D

Quoting: pete910holy S*** this runs well, My V7 is matching a 2080ti in dx12

May need to do a bench thread like the Superpostion one.

Stock clocks on CPU/GPU

Don't forget to count the differences: you didn't have hbao+, your space contact shadows were on normal and not on high, you used 8x anisotropic filtering instead of 16x, and smaa2x instead of smaa4x. I think you compared yours to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f0bPvbUQ_U [External Link]
Thats the limit it will go, not sure why, though it may be a vulkan thing. However we get "AMD fidelityFX CAS" No clue what that is

Edit, Seems 16x anisotropic does work, sure I tried it, will give it another go .
