I loved this game when I was young! It was always one of those games that nobody I talked to ever knew about and I would have never guessed it had enough success to warrant a remake, but I'm so glad that it's happening. It's interesting that they're using UE5, wouldn't have been my first pick. Hopefully they keep it optimised and it remains faithful to the original experience.

YES! Practical/gameplay use of fluid simulation! There have been some major advancements in real time fluid simulation, I've been waiting for this level of tech for so many years. DrainSim has exceptional fluid simulation, I can't wait to see more games implement proper fluid dynamics. Hydrophobia had me thinking it would happen far sooner than it has.

I happened to have started a new run of this game two days ago, and after quite a lot of trial and error getting the cutscenes working correctly, this update broke the game for me 😅. They added a beta branch that reverts back to the 2016 build of the game, which has made it playable again, but I unfortunately cannot access the new features as now the game boots to a black screen until force closed. Proton versions don't seem to make a difference.

I've had my desktop plugged into a TV and used as a media station a lot lately, real excited for bigscreen! Hopefully the new theme system addresses how finnicky global themes can be, I'd love to use them more without the passive fear that my desktop will become wonky.

I was excited for this game pre-release, but after looking into it, I have very little faith this will succeed in much outside of becoming filled with monetisation-motivated (AI) slop.

I'm also pretty excited for this. War Thunder is likely my most played PvP game, having started playing around the time of its release, playing on and off since. Gaijin adding this feels a little bit strange to me, considering Enlisted exists, but I'm excited for it nonetheless.

We're really doing this again? Remember the last time you brought up comparisons to well-respected games, Ian? Will you also be shutting down Splitgate 2 Arena Reloaded servers for that game's launch like you did with the previous?
That said, the new season looks to be possibly the most promising thing they've shown off for this game, but I guess we'll see if it's enough before they potentially abandon ship, again.

I've heard a lot about this browser, and it's usually people citing privacy concerns. Is there any substantiated evidence about this browser mishandling/misusing/etc user data? I did a cursory search online and while I can't find a lot, that doesn't mean it isn't there. I'm easily won over by extensive customisation but I've been staying away from this browser due to it's reputation, and because my interest is often inversely proportional to the amount of effort put into advertisement and sponsorships. I was disappointed when CachyOS deprecated their browser, so I've been using Floorp since.
