The Native Linux app for NVIDIA GeForce NOW is now in Beta

I don't think it makes it more confusing. If you want GeForce NOW on all platforms - you go direct. It's just keeping up with what they already do for every other platform?

It is an executable that installs a flatpak. I totally do not get why they do not just upload it on flathub as the main method. Since they did made it a flatpak it does not make any sense to me to not use flathub.
Flathub isn't the be-all and end-all of the Flatpak world, part of the point of Flatpak is you don't have to use one central repository. I do wish they would though, but they clearly want to control every single part of it and so they host it direct.

Quoting: TheRealSpesch@Liam On Bazzite, after about 2 minutes the error message “Problem detected” appears and you can just close the app. However, if you start a game session quickly enough, you can dismiss the message with CTRL+G and the stream continues to run normally. Do you also get this error message on Fedora?
Nope, never seen that here.

No, it's literally the opposite, that's part of the entire point. They're bundling things together, and working more on upstreaming things so there's less competing things. Did...you even read the article? It was pretty clear lol.

NVIDIA security bulletin for January 2026 reveals new GPU driver security issues

Quoting: KoopaSeems their proprietary driver is quite prone to vulnerabilities, glad I am red team.
Mesa also has its fair share of security fixes across different releases, this isn't unique to NVIDIA.

Bazzite Linux founder releases statement asking GPD to cease using their name

Quoting: eggroleWhile pretending to be affiliated somehow is shady, I find it amusing that FOSS (built on other FOSS no less) is talking about IP and asking to stop using their logo and name.
There's nothing weird about it. You can create FOSS, and want to protect your name and your project reputation. Don't confuse open source code with IP and trademarks - they're separate things.

GOG now using AI generated images on their store

Regardless of any thoughts on it one thing remains clear - the more AI generation is used for the little things "it's just this, it's just that!" - the more it will be accepted, and the more it will replace actual people. We'll see less actual art, less real intentional character in what we see - and more slop with melting consoles.
Gotta be real with you, this sounds hollow when you constantly promote ARC Raiders. Regardless of wether or not the actors signed off on it, there's nothing in there that needed it and it's just a severe cost cutting measure that'll lead to lower quality voice work the more accepted it is.
I'm still going to report on things as they evolve with generative AI, regardless of my feelings - that's the point of that.

The popular Arch-based distro CachyOS gets a new release with a significantly reworked installer

a significantly reworked installer, which also now includes bootloader selection

I can vouch that CachyOS installer included a bootloader selection screen since I've first tried it (more than a year ago). Maybe even earlier. :)
I'm not too clued up on it, but it seems it was done differently before. Direct from their blog post "bootloader selection has been moved directly into the installer".

Going by further comments, nope, they used a shared mailbox.
