We're seeing a constant stream of games being updated for the Deck, it's a genuine question a lot of people asked about Feral ports - so we reached out and this is simply what they said.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleThis exactly. There's more too like sane default graphics settings, ensuring saves work cross-platform and with steam cloud and so on.Quoting: GuestKind of not sure what people are expecting Feral to update? The whole point of the Steam Deck is that it doesn't need games to be built specifically for it. Nobody is expecting all their Windows titles to be updated to target this one particular hardware device, so not sure why Feral is being singled out here. Many Windows-only games are being updated for Steam Deck. Controller support, correct controller glyphs, readable text, support for the quick suspend mode, on-screen keyboard support.

Quoting: EikeYeah, we did point out they seem to have forgotten that they do stock Linux games. There's no official GOG support for SteamDeck. But since the device has an open architecture, as we understand, you can install Windows and as such also run GOG games.... or run your native Linux games from GOG on it?!?

Quoting: Shmerllol that trailer is bizarre enough to be funny :grin:Good catch, noted.
The first one didn't support LinuxI see Linux is listed as supported for the first game on itch.io: https://sos.itch.io/mcpixel [External Link]
And it's on sale there now.
UPDATE: From the listing, it looks like it's using Adobe Air, which might a problem and reason Steam doesn't list it.

Quoting: BielFPsBut I wonder how they'll handle cases like Borderlands 2 that, while having a "performant" native build, the last DLC can only be played through Proton.IMO, if you can't play DLC because it's no longer updated or supported like that, it should just run through Proton - otherwise it's not the full content experience.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleDoes Feral get any money if people buy it now already?Well, it would be dumb to have them advertised all over it, if people pre-ordered and they didn't get paid.

Quoting: CatKillerI was, it was not out of RAM.Quoting: Liam DaweI can confirm that with Proton 7 there are problems. After 20 minutes or so it stuttered to a crawl and then froze up tight. Could only hard reboot as whole system was unresponsive.Sounds like out-of-RAM. You could monitor it with mangohud to confirm.

Quoting: nenoroi suggest you to rename the title and edit your article cause on the github it clearly says Added support for EasyAntiCheat if the game has enabled a Linux module. The title is fine, it says "improvements" and that is an improvement. It does not claim anything else.
And you ask why people get hyped so fast you forget to add important things.

Quoting: Bogomips@Liam, did you encounter more crashes with Dying Light 2 (DX12)?I can confirm that with Proton 7 there are problems. After 20 minutes or so it stuttered to a crawl and then froze up tight. Could only hard reboot as whole system was unresponsive.
Since the update to proton 7 I can hardly pass the 30 minutes threshold. I will try with DX11 and maybe rollback to proton 6…
Edit: It seems to be a known problem https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5542 [External Link].
