Corrected the text, it was supposed to be RX not Ryzen.

Survival game Vintage Story gets an official mod database, improved Wayland support

Quoting: AkonadyGreat, another Minecraft wannabe.
That's a very ignorant take on it. Vintage Story is vastly different, far more depth to the features. Especially the crafting, where you have to actually make things. Graphically? Yes it has blocks, that doesn't make something Minecraft.

Update 25/02/21 17:15 - Valve has confirmed to us that Steam Link app is coming to Linux proper. Valve press told us over email "it is in the works" but they "don’t have a target release date to share just yet".

Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates
25 Feb 2021 at 1:12 pm UTC

Quoting: amataiCould you do store statistics again ? That was very interesting and that would let see the big trend. I'm very curious about the relative result of GoG vs Steam and Steam vs 3rd market store and how many Linux User use Epic + Wine (still have not dare doing that despite the free games, I'm still shy about using proton too extensively).
Not opposed to it but it would need careful wording, since this is something that people don't update every month.

Happy to take suggestions.

Google, Bungie, id Software all under fire in a new Stadia lawsuit

Quoting: t3gI can’t wait for Stadia to die out since it’s one big circle jerk here. I get it... Stadia runs Linux but it’s closed off.
It allows people to play more games on Linux, so we cover it. There's no circle jerk about it and to say so is pretty ridiculous. Do we need to go over this together again?

Open source RTS 0 A.D. Alpha 24 is out now with plenty of new features

Quoting: AkonadyIf they stop with this Open Source bs they could sell the game, make money from it, and turn the game into a real game, hiring developers, not this garbage, this game is not even close to Age of Empires, sorry. But hey, they still got 1.000 years to finish the game.
I get you're passionate and want it to be "finished" but you seem to misunderstand. Just because it's open source, doesn't mean they can't charge for it. Calling it "bs" (bullshit), is very silly. If you want to help them and possibly speed it up then donate to them [External Link] and show them it's worth it.

There's no stopping the Viking invasion as Valheim hits 3 million sales

Quoting: hardpenguinBtw what is the original source of "largely developed on Linux" info? Could not find it on GOL.
The developer has been quite open about it in their official Discord, they mentioned a while ago they completely removed Windows and that they're a dedicated Linux supporter. They even mentioned clearly they wouldn't do Epic exclusively, unless Epic Store supported Linux and so on and so on. They're a big Linux user and fan :)

Portal 2 from Valve gets a big update with Vulkan support from DXVK
19 Feb 2021 at 12:49 pm UTC

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLIf believe in first benchmarks, semi-native OpenGL still performs much better than semi-native Vulkan.
OpenGL ~400 FPS while Vulkan ~190 FPS.
Tested it myself, and the difference on my hardware was about the same. Weird you see such a big difference.

It has been since December 2019.
