Note: this was originally published with a title saying "SteamOS 3.7.13 update brings wider handheld support", but I edited it as to not be unintentionally misleading.

But proposals get turned into reality. People were commenting on if the proposal was to go through. People were right to worry, because even if it was coming in a later Fedora release (44), it would have caused major problems.

This is why the Steam Deck is still partly the king of handhelds, they kept it simple.

I just hope for Steam Deck 2 they cut it down to at max 2 models. 512GB and 1TB would be fine.

Bazzite would shut down if Fedora goes ahead with removing 32-bit

@pleasereadthemanual, random user comments don't line up with the history of Bazzite.

As Kyle Gospodnetich said in reply:
There’s some revisionist history going on here. While we did experiment early on with containerizing Steam, this was only done on Desktop images. We dropped it completely because it has numerous unfixable problems that make it a bad experience. At no point did this power the gamemode session images of Bazzite because it can’t, for the same reasons the Flatpak can’t, and the gamemode session images are 2/3rd of our users.

I wasn't saying other distros should do it, just that Valve wouldn't take notice unless some other major players did.
