The required driver is 550.54.14 (stable), the recommended is 575.51.02 (stable is at 575.57.08). So there should be no issues for NVIDIA unless you're on an old driver.

They just won't be using kernel-mode on Linux, same as now, because it's just not a thing.

Heroic does let you install anything using Wine too, yes but naturally any integrations and updates are not available.

Yes you can add anything to Steam too like Heroic.

That's a whole 'nother argument, but I do agree. Much like buying something, and then features that came with it suddenly behind a paywall - it all needs to stop.
