Quoting: CGull"Without going through GZDoom and others"? What's so bad about GZDoom? This makes it sound like they are some kind of torture. People who don't know are going to read this and assume they're horrible. You're reading into that far too much. It's about it being click and play, which on Steam Deck is the most important thing.

Quoting: dosLooks like it's detected as a mouse, Plasma settings also blanks out touchpad settings. Although I did just discover three fingers on the pad will also bring up the alt+tab switcher.Quoting: Liam DaweI did mention clearly in the article that multi-touch works so it definitely acts like a touchpad. You only mentioned two finger scroll, which is usually emulated as a basic mouse wheel.
evtest output will tell you everything.

2) Don't have the specific cable needed to test for that. I assume not, which is why it also has Mini HDMI.
3) Never tried doing that before. I assume that would be a kernel-level feature of whatever you've connected if possible at all.
4) No, the left port is specifically labelled as the power supply.

Quoting: MayeulCQuestions:1) No, only the port on the right.
- Can you use both ports for video input (plug the SD in either port)?
- Can you use the other USB port as a video output, to connect an external screen? (Daisy chaining)
- Can you opt out of charging whatever is connected? As in, If I'm doing light office work, the Steam Deck could last for 12 hours, no need for charging, I'd rather have the external screen last longer.
- I assume either USB-C ports can be used as power inputs as well?

Quoting: dosYou missed the most crucial part of a lapdock review: is its touchpad exposed as a touchpad, or as a mouse? What’s the easiest way to be sure on that? I did mention clearly in the article that multi-touch works so it definitely acts like a touchpad.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoMeanwhile LUTRIS is still with the version 8-26 shown as "stable"You can use ProtonUp-Qt to add more versions to Lutris. And looking it up, Lutris is still working on their umu support which would improve the situation.

Quoting: pbI thought "prologues" were no longer allowed on Steam, as well as advertising other games in the description? At no point have Valve said they're not allowed. But with the demo system updates, they now make less sense.

I have absolutely no issues with it myself, if the developer has tested it working and will keep it working with Proton. The issue is how Steam fubars the download right now when it's ticked and the dev meant Proton.

Quoting: RomlokAs far as I am aware, no, this is not how it's supposed to be used, and ends up every time causing issues with an empty download when Steam is looking for the Linux version. So you have to manually force Proton. I've reached out to Valve to see if they plan to allow developers to properly note Proton support to stop this issue.the developer confirmed no actual Linux version so you do need Proton. Is this now a permitted use of the SteamOS icon in the Steam store? I've seen multiple games do this in recent months. What does Valve say the SteamOS icon is supposed to mean?
From my point of view, they're advertising something they aren't actually selling. Had I bought it, I would absolutely refund and report the game as nonfunctional and/or falsely advertised.
Remember folks: Don't buy games unless you're going to play them within the refund window.

Quoting: PenglingAlien Resurrection was the originator of the now-commonplace twin-stick control-method for first-person games. And the game, and especially its controls, were panned at the time, hilariously enough.Oh I definitely remember reading about it, saw a video on it recently too about how hilarious it is now to think people couldn't handle the controls. Always wanted to play it, remember seeing it in stores.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyFor me, I feel like there's some kind of discrepancy between how many of these things seem to be selling, and the degree to which they've bumped the Linux percentage on the survey. Like, if they're doing as well as they seem to be, shouldn't the percentage be growing faster than it is?Nope. It's how percentages work. Remember, this is up against Windows which remains top-dog when it comes to gaming. Steam is growing all the time too, which also means more Windows users on Steam.
