I'd consider buying one. I have a Razerblade Stealth and Core and I connect two external 2560x1440 monitors to my Single GPU. My core can't really be expanded/upgraded beyond one GPU so for me it makes sense to buy the biggest/beefiest GPU I can buy.

To be completely fair to Putty Squad, this was an Amiga/SNES game so the fact it looks so good is kind of amazing.
The release of Mesa 17 has seen a bit of a delay, for all the right reasons

NVIDIA has their own OpenGL implementation. When you install the NVIDIA binary driver it actually rips out X11/MESA's OpenGL and drops in NVIDIA's version. Their version runs a lot faster and has more features than the X11/MESA OpenGL implementation, but does not have the sourcecode available for you to modify/read. Vulkan is a graphics API that competes against OpenGL and DirectX. NVIDIA support Vulkan in their closed source driver and they recently updated it. You can download/install this update from the NVIDIA website. Again the NVIDIA version of Vulkan is more complete than the MESA one.
The work Nouveau does is important, a good open source NVIDIA driver helps achieve the goal of liberating hardware from unknown binary drivers. This is a good thing for everyone as it helps improve transparency/security of Linux code.

I wish GOG would Relase Wing Commander 1/2/3/4 in Dosbox for Linux. It's annoying having to replace the windows dosbox binaries with my own.

Someone needs to make a new Freespace style game. Put a decent plot in it and ship it with a mission editor. That's what made Freespace 2 last so long. Decent modding tools. Without that any space game that's not AAA is going to suffer the same fate as this game.

NWN2 will not be coming to Linux unless someone pays for a port or Xoreos gets finished. The Engine had the Linux codetree removed when they updated/modified it for NWN2, They removed OpenGL/Linux support to focus on Xbox support for a cancelled Xbox port. Later games built on the engine didn't restore the Linux support. Only NWN, Witcher 2 and Kotor2 are based on the NWN engine which currently have Linux native ports. I know because one of my friends is a Bioware developer from those days and he explained it to me directly.
