One user in the GOG forum already speculated on this, saying that Linux games, streaming of games to the desktop, or Linux servers could be meant. Another was quick to shoot him down regarding two of the options.
Quoting: MaighstirSource. [External Link] I remain hopeful. Thanks for posting this piece, Liam!Quoting: The-BusinessThe Linux requirement could mean everything: [...] streaming of Games to the desktop, Linux servers...Both are unlikely, streaming goes quite heavily against their no-DRM stance, and developing server applications makes little use for "Experience in developing rich desktop applications heavily oriented on excellent UX."

Quoting: frostworkI have several games in my gog account, but stopped buying games there months agoThat is exactly my thinking. GOG will absolutely not get any money out of wallet until they change their stance. It is that simple.
as they don't care about linux support. If that changes one day, I'd be glad to buy more games - plain and simple.

Quoting: alexThunderDrMcCoy and I unfortunately share the same point. This developer likes Linux, praises it due to it being easier to develop for than Mac OS, says he's spoken at length about Linux support with GOG, but can say no more. It just sounds like a negative result to me. I hope I am wrong from the bottom of my heart as I am at the forefront of this campaign to get GOG to support Linux, but alas.Quoting: FutureSutureThat's likely, but what's your point then?Quoting: alexThunderI believe the reason he couldn't say any more about the subject is because of common business practice: Don't bitch about those you do business with. That sounds vaguely promising doesn't it? Well I choose to look at it that way anyway.I'm usually optimistic regarding such comments, too, but this doesn't mean anything. Sure, he increased interest in Linux by simply asking for it, but it's really not more we can read out of it.

Quoting: Mike FrettIt's not like we are asking for ALL of the Games. They could start with a dozen or so of the popular titles and then do Linux ports of any future releases. Maybe even have a poll to vote on any future releases, right?. ;)Does that exist in its entirety on Linux? I bought it before making the full switch to Linux so that would most certainly be a good choice, GOG!
Neverwinter Nights would be a good 1st title I think.

Considering the age of the game, this gives me hope that Heroes of Might and Magic 3 will make it to Linux in all its glory as well. I would love for Heroes of Might and Magic 2 to come along as well. On that note, why not bring all of Heroes of Might and Magic to Linux? I would be blessed!
