I sincerely hope that Left 4 Dead does get ported. It just wouldn't make sense to me for it not to get ported considering Valve's previous efforts. In addition, I think it would make most sense for Valve to release games in terms of their requirements i.e. games with higher requirements should be released later to benefit from newer graphics drivers.

And this is really coming to Linux? Looks pretty good! Graphics look nice and the gameplay intriguing. I hope it's not much like Counter-Strike: Source for I just cannot wrap my head around that game.
