I would find it fantastic if they had donation options as purchasable downloadable content on Steam like Zero-K has. That would certainly bring in additional funding for a deserving open source game.

It seems that this is not a Metroidvania like I originally thought. I cannot say that I am not disappointed by this revelation.

I am just waiting for Salt and Sanctuary to become available on GOG. Once that happens, I am guaranteed to purchase it. The game looks, sounds, and feels incredible. The excitement is unreal!

I will definitely keep an eye on this as it will be the first 3D game akin to Dark Souls to hit Linux. We have received some 2D games akin to Dark Souls, but never 3D. If the big publishers won't deliver, then the independent developers will.
