Which driver did you test on Liam? The Steam page says they tested with driver 364.12. My Steam machine currently has 355 something installed and the game looks OK, but of course runs quite slowly.
Is Steam giving you an annoying error message on Ubuntu 16.04? Here's a solution

The thing with the Steam install is, you install a .deb (from wherever, repo or .deb downloaded from Valve's site) which is basically just an installer for Steam proper.
I personally find this annoying as it impacts other users on the system. Whenever the .deb is updated, it pops up a "do you want to install Steam" for all users who log in and people come to me asking what that is and what they should do with it. Especially as technically at that point the .deb shouldn't be needed any more since you already have Steam installed in your home folder.

Thing is, gamepads are awesome for certain kinds of games (anything TPP basically). I would have also probably not known it had I not wanted to play FFIX so badly back in 2001 I got a PS1.
Interestingly, I don't rate the Steam controller very highly, but yesterday I finally fixed my home network so Steam Link finally works properly and to celebrate played through Firewatch using home streaming and the Steam controller. It was great. It's not a TPP though. ;-)

Wine is an excellent piece of software and has given me access to many games or utilities over the years which I'd otherwise would have had to go to Windows for. The effort behind it is nothing short of amazing.

Bought this morning, after Steam recommended it to me. Looks great and has very modest system requirements. I'd never heard of Spoonbeaks before, maybe now that Linux is popular they will port it sometime.

Hmm, I already have this on Steam (caved in when it was released to try it in Wine). I wonder how I can give Feral some money...

Quoting: wojtek88When you upgrade to Vulkan-capable hardware, I GUARANTEE you'll get an immediate performance boost.Quoting: TheBossVulkan in Talos already beats OpenGL, so actually it would be nice to have it.I am eager to test it. It will be great to have better performance in Talos Principle.
But wait... I have 540m gt card. I won't be able to use Vulkan before hardware update. Bummer...

That's really good news; it's an excellent game.
Another one I'll buy to show my support and then never play. :-)

The first part is also available on iOS, so you can play there if you have an iPhone or iPad. Bear in mind it's a full-on point and click adventure, different from the ones that follow.
The 2nd part I'd played in Wine some years ago and it ran well enough. I'd expect it to work fine right now, too. It's available from GOG. I enjoyed it, fwiw.

Quoting: BeamboomHow can they port something they don't have the source to? Or enhance it, other than replacing some textures? Are you talking about SS or SS2? Because it doesn't look like SS's code is lost.
