If they need something simpler for most developers, I don't see the advantage of using OpenGL instead of a Vulkan-based rendering library.

Vulkan is appealing because it has a good chance of solving the current driver situation. I guarantee you there will be plenty of libraries popping up in no time and even if there wasn't, they could easily develop an OpenGL-styled library of their own to bridge the gap and have it work far more consistently across different drivers.

HTC Vive Pre has added a camera into their unit so you can see what's going on around you without having to take it off.

Personally I don't really have an interest in the Oculus Rift since the HTC Vive clearly provides a much more immersive experience if you have the space for it.

I'm just disappointed that you felt this warranted an article, this is not gaming news...

The video can be summarized as:
- The business is shielding themselves from liability when handling other peoples money
- They are paying for their expenses before passing on the profits
- They've already invested a bunch into the company and would like to recoup those initial costs

Also I'm getting a little tired of people trying to paint Double Fine in a bad light when Spacebase DF-9 was the only game they failed to deliver.

I've always been under the impression that users only get selected for the survey when they actually login into the steam client with a username and password, it never seems to pop up when the client is reusing your credentials. That would also explain why when ever I test out Wine (and have to enter my password) it'll all of a sudden prompt me for the survey.
