Oh.
Hell.
YES!
I started following this on Steam Greenlight aeons ago, drooling over all the art design in the news updates.
Then ... I don't know. Aliens? Somehow I lost track of it.
Drugs? Grave robbing? A second mortgage? I'll find a way to buy a day one Linux release on day one!

Ash of Gods is a gorgeous but deeply flawed adventure

I could overlook the wooden dialogue as being the product of some "other world," and I could----with a bit of effort---justify the inscrutable dialogue outcomes as reflecting the often inscrutable nature of life itself. But that bizarre combat mechanic; that would be like having a jumping spider trapped in your spacesuit helmet---nothing fatal, but skull-fuckingly distracting.
Here's hoping the overhaul the combat system, then, so I won't have to wait to buy it for $2.00 at the 2023 Steam Christmas sale.

Quoting: liamdawe... if the number of units on either side is mismatched, the side with less units gets to move its units again once they run out of unmoved units.Wait---what? What sort of Harrison Bergeron [External Link] space-time continuum is this game supposed to take place in?

I look at this and I think "twitch shooter." I suck at twitch shooters. Really, really suck at twitch shooters. (It's why I avoid most PvP like a crack-addled whore who has "Gonorrhea Dispenser" tattooed across her forehead.)
And, yet, I'm definitely going to buy this game that I know I'm going to suck at because it looks like a blast and it will make me a better gamer in other FPS games. And whheeeeeeeeee---BLOODY GOBBETS EVERYWHERE!

Exciting news! I've been waiting for this one. I was going to make it a day one purchase, and probably still will on its first day on Linux!

Three cheers for the third dimension! Seriously, though; the graphics are smooth and stylish, and combat looks brutal. It's on the wishlist!

Nice!
In GTA V, back in the day, on my X360, I spent a lot of time just riding my motorcycle like a maniac; especially off-road. Zooming along ridge-lines at full speed, going up and down the cliffs of Mt. Chilliad, taunting and outrunning car-driving players, I loved the soaring, roaring, fourth-gear freedom, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it.
I'm looking forward to whatever action this game has to offer.

Thank you very much for the article! Thank you very much for your kind comments! ^_^
In English say we "drive" cars, but we say we "pilot" boats & airplanes. Any time you have any questions about English and its usage, feel free to contact me here.
Quoting: NanobangIs it an English language faux pas when they say "pilots" in their video, or is that the generally used term for race car drivers everywhere but in the U.S.?
Quoting: flavioSorry, English is not my mothertongue and I write wrong things very often. :S: I am going to fix it in game's descriptions out there. As for the video, we'll change that for 0.9's video. Is "drivers" your suggested word? Thank you very much for reporting this error!Lol, No need to apologize, your English looks very good. And I really was wondering if "pilot" was used elsewhere in the world instead of "driver." Yes, "driver" would be the right term in this case.

Quoting: ImantsI do hope you knew I was just joking about the Linux servers thing ;) (Not the bit about the existence of "the boys" ... I was deadly serious about that. As I'm sure you know, the Linux Mafia (a.k.a the Birds in Black) is a very real thing, and Don Torvalds and his enforcers are not to be joked about).Quoting: NanobangCan we agree that if anyone wants to use Linux for their game's servers, they have to also release their game on Linux? (Otherwise, we can send the boys around to, heh, you know, "talk" to them).I think not. Linux is excellent server software and if someone wants to use Linux only as server I by no means would ever disagree with that.
