Quoting: CyborgZetaI just tried it with Vulkan, and it appears to be working on my system. There must be a way to work around whatever issue you're having, although I don't know what that is since I didn't do anything special.Quoting: TiZI don't have a GitHub account, and I know jack about filing bug reports. People typically pull up the output in a terminal or something, yes? I don't know how to do that. All I can tell you is "Uh, it don't work".Quoting: CyborgZetaThat's nice and all, but Vulkan on the Dolphin Flatpak has been broken for the past several months. Trying to use Vulkan just brings up a "failed to initialize video backend" and "failed to create Vulkan instance" dialog.I don't see an issue for this on the Flathub package's issue tracker. [External Link] Any particular reason you haven't filed a report if it has been broken for the past several months?
There are discussions on Reddit that tell me other people have issues with failing to initialize Vulkan on Dolphin. Though I don't know what hardware or OS they're using. In those cases, it may be a driver issue, but the Flatpak build should be using the latest drivers. No clue.
Vulkan in Dolphin doesn't work on my desktop or my Steam Deck, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.
AMD Ray Tracing on Linux gets closer with Mesa enabling specific games

It's nice to see some more movement on this, as it's been a long time coming for those sticking with the open source Mesa drivers. What does this mean? Do the proprietary drivers already have ray-tracing support?
The Steam Deck really doesn't need exclusives

Being able to play a game on your desktop and then pick up where you left off on the Steam Deck is one of its strengths. It makes no sense to take that away. I saw that article and wanted to blast him in the comments, but that site doesn't have a comment section.

Quoting: mahagrI tried. It took forever to load into the game. It crashed after a minute of gameplay. I gave up. I will wait...It still crashes immediately for me on my desktop, even with Proton Hotfix enabled.
Does anyone know how to enable raytracing and DLSS in the game? They were grayed out.

Quoting: DrNickI've got three original Steam Controllers as well. Managed to get a friend in the states to pick up two and ship them up to Canuckistan for me. Cost many Kopeks, but it was worth it. One controller is beginning to wear out, so hopefully this means the other two will last until the new revision comes out.I've got two, one for my family room and one for my bedroom. As someone who has hand issues and uses a trackball instead of a mouse, the steam controller has been great for me when it comes to certain games. If it had a right stick and a d-pad, it would've been perfect for every game, so I'm 100% on board for a controller with all the Steam Deck layout.
Personally I hope v2 is just the Deck controls without the screen.

Quoting: TermyI don't really get those 95% keyboards - i want full size for a reason, those 1-2 saved centimeters won't hurt me, less keys will though. Especially if we have QMK or other fully customizable solutions like here, where you can remap 'useless' keys. That's what I was thinking, albeit with fewer words. 😆 It's close but still not a full size keyboard.
And i really don't like the 'integrated' arrowkeys either...
Aaand (just to keep on rambling ;) ) i really got to love the knob on my Q6, so that is a sadly missing thing, too. ^^
Other than that: the more open keyboards, the better! And size matters, so go for everything countering that stupid TKL-Trend ;P

Quoting: iWeaker4YouAnd that concerns me a bit because we might always have a moving target with supporting Windows games, especially if Microsoft ever makes a big platform change. I can only hope that, as steam deck numbers continue to rise, more game companies will make supporting Linux a priority, even if it's not their top priority.Quoting: LanzAmazing that EA quality control allowed it to ship while breaking Proton/Steam Deck.Because it app is targeted for Windows, not Wine / Proton
Great smaller and casual games for the Steam Deck

I hardly ever use my Steam Deck for big AAA games. That's what my desktop is for. With the big games, I want my ultrawide screen, sub-woofer for good bass and as much power as possible for high fps. With my Steam Deck, I can finally get around to going through my back catalog of indie games and emulate old games. I'm honestly loving it.
