I bought the Steam Controller again a few months ago with Sekiro to give it another try. The first one went to the trash after I was unable to play a game with it.
Unfortunately, after trying and giving it a honest try, I still just cant play with the Steam Controller. I lack feedback with the touch thingy and therefore shooters and third person games are impossible to play.
Maybe if I tried for days on end for 3 months I might get used to it, but that is way too much time to learn a new controller.
So I went back the the XONE controller in the end. Don't fix what ain't broken IMHO.

Looks like Valve could be set to launch something called Steam Cloud Gaming

Unfortunately, cloud gaming seems to be a thing now so I am at least glad that Steam has something cooking as well, because with Steam I know I get to own the game but probably also have the option to stream it.
I don't know how they will do it, but at least I know Steam has the bandwidth for it.

Quoting: GuestPresented this way, it sounds more interesting to me than stadia. Because games sold on steam must run on your computer and not only valve's servers. They could technically restrict their Linux effort to said servers to avoid desktop Linux support costs but since they want to be able to escape the windows ecosystem they are probably not going to do that. ^_^Exactly, I was and am not interested in all the other cloud services because I like to own my games and I like my game library to be in one place as much as possible.

I guess my normal version of the game I bought and played on Windows before finally switching over, doesn't get a basic edition of the game that is Linux compatible?
Would be nice if it did, but no harm if it doesn't. But I won't buy the game twice though.

CoreCtrl, a new FOSS Linux tool to help you control your PC with application profiles

I'll install it again another day. :-)

Quoting: CyrilI think I did looked there but can't be sure. Kind of strange that on a fresh install it goes straight to the tray. Should open up a main window first.Quoting: Sojiro84Works fine apparently on my side, but that's because it launched on the system-tray, did you look at it?Quoting: ElectricPrismSpecial thanks to `der_fenix` for doing a AUR PKGBUILD today:I just noticed this as well! I love the AUR community.

But, I tried it and somehow after starting it and entering my root nothing happened. So I got a bit scared and uninstalled asap. The idea of giving root and then nothing happening is scary.
I understand it needs root to change stuff hardware wise, but still...

Well, that certainly was a interesting experience. Definitely not time wasted. A short but tense and interesting experience.
Action-RPG "Last Epoch" getting a demo later this year, next update due in August

Since the game is native to Linux, I kind of didn't wanted to force Proton. The developers should make sure the Linux version works as well.
:)

Quoting: GuestI figured as much. I guess the performance is better as well?Quoting: Sojiro84This game doesn't work properly anymore since the Steam version. At the first release on Steam it launched but had graphical errors (rainbow like) because of a certain graphical effect.I had all those issues as well on the native version. Forcing Proton fixed them and I am able to play
Now, I can launch the game, but can't enter the world. Clicking the button doesn't do anything and the mouse has a weird ghosting effect when I move it.
I deleted the original settings folder but even after that, the issue remained.
