Valve is usually pretty quick to update Proton, I'm sure we'll see 4.11-6 or whatever with the new DXVK in a few days.

Steam Play Proton 4.11-3 is out, big changes for gamepads and new D9VK

Proton is really amazing and is progressing at an incredible pace. The amount of new games that work out of the box on the day they release or very shortly thereafter is staggering.

Quoting: morbiusI'm thinking about Danganronpa, game ratings are amazing, but again, these niche games with their own fan base tend to have overinflated ratings. Not sure if a Japanese visual novel is actually my thing.
Danganronpa games are more than just visual novels, though that is a large part of them. However, these aren't your usual pick a waifu visual novels, these games get TWISTED.

HITMAN 2 via Proton. I love this game series.

Steam Play Proton 4.11 released, a pretty huge release pulling in D9VK and a replacement for esync

Originally I had mixed feelings about Proton, but I've come around on it. I'm in the if it runs via translation layer well enough that it's indistinguishable from native, then it's just as good as native camp. I've been playing HITMAN 2 via Proton and it runs AT LEAST as well as HITMAN runs natively.

Please tell me you can remove the noise and scan lines. I'm not usually one to pass on a game because of graphics, but everything I saw in the trailer was tedious and borderline painful to look at.

Move over Fortnite, The International 2019 for Dota 2 has surpassed $30 million

I always watch The International, I'll be watching it again this year. DotA 2 is my favorite eSport to watch, and the only one I watch regularly. I also sometimes watch Starcraft 2 and CS:GO, but not nearly as frequently.

My only complaint about the way Valve does prize pools is that the payouts at Valve DPC events (TI, majors, and minors) are extremely top-heavy. This makes it very difficult for tier 2 and tier 3 teams to claw their way up to tier 1 since the payouts at the lower end of the tournament standings are often not enough so that these players can play full-time, they often have to work jobs to pay the bills.

Valve release an official statement about the future of Linux support, they "remain committed" to Linux gaming

I use Fedora on my lappy (and am considering switching to Fedora on my desktop) so I'm happy to hear about Valve working closer with other distros than Ubuntu.

What are you playing this weekend and what do you think about it? It's mostly Dota Underlords for me

Sadly, I'm not playing anything natively on Linux and haven't for a while. I've been addicted to Conan Exiles for months now. I have some 250 hours in the game and counting. I'm running it via Proton and it runs perfectly.

I also recently started playing Judgment on PS4.

Eventually I want to play X4: Foundations. I already own the game, but I've been holding off on playing it since it's a MASSIVE time sink and Conan Exiles is also a MASSIVE time sink, and playing 2 massive time sinks at the same time doesn't seem wise.

A look over the ProtonDB reports for May 2019, over 5,000 Windows games reported working on Linux

I've been playing the bejesus out of Conan Exiles, 200 hours and counting. Runs great via Proton and I love the game. I thought I wouldn't like it, since I generally haven't been into survival games, but it's extremely configurable and you can absolutely play it as a single-player RPG, which is what I'm doing. It fills the same role for me that Skyrim does for a lot of people.
