I supported the developer by buying the game. Looks really cool but wait until it leaves early access before I start playing it.

It's basically the same story as it always has been—increasing our market share somehow is the only thing that will help.
And you really think promoting playing Windows games via Proton works in that direction?
A lot of Linux people are used Wine anyway before Proton to play their Windows games on Linux via Steam.
Also a lot of people requested and wished a Wine friendly integration into Linux Steam.
It's a good thing for all sides. User can easily run non-native games without Wine tinkering. Valve binds users even more to their platform. Valve supports Wine / driver development. Valve maintains a whitelist for Proton games which (hopefully) includes a lot of game testing.
Even if this doesn't increase user base, it benefits Linux users, which is good thing.

To my mind it's not necessarily a Steam issue that the user base isn't growing.
The Linux desktops have so many issues: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Linux-Desktop-Issues-2018 [External Link]
Even Ubuntu is far from beeing user-friendly as lot of thing won't work or could be improved.

Sounds like a lot of changes are on the way for Valve's Artifact

The changes sound pretty good.
It's good to see Valve's comitment despite the bad start.

Oh boi, that reminds me of the old days messsing with my xbox controller and xboxdrv. What a crap. Didn't know that xboxdrv is still a thing today.
Since I got the Steam controller I never looked back.

Valve's card game Artifact seems to be dying off and fairly quickly too

The lack of communication simply sucks but it's a problem for all Valve games.
Because of Valve Time [External Link] they can't promise anything to the community to not make them angry, so they better say nothing at all, which makes the community even more angry. It's sad, maybe they deseserve the hard competition.

I mean how hard can it be. Look at Threse Brothers, they are literally a two man indie studio and can write nice progress announcements atleast on weekly base: https://steamcommunity.com/games/335620/announcements/ [External Link]

I really hope they can improve the situation because it looks not so bad and I almost bought it.

Broforce, possibly the best action-platformer ever is still being updated

One of the best platformers ever. <3
Hopefully they finally improved the endgame performance in multiplayer.
Had a lot of stuttering fighting the end boss.

They should do a DLC or Addon, would totally buy it.

Quoting: brokkrIf you just want the case, it's definitely a Fractal Design one. With those dimensions, I'd say probably the Fractal Define C.
Actually it looks like Fractal Define R6, check the side of the front doors, there is space to put your fingers in, Defince C does not have front doors. The front I/O also looks different. This is definitely R6.
The Fractal Define R6 is such a great case <3, only the case fans are not so silent.

It's quite clear from the beginning that Epic never really cared for Linux support.
They are not against it, if the work is done free but they don't invest into it either.
Just look at the fixes yaakuro did:
