Toy soldier shooter 'The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare' has another big update and a price drop

I got it the last time you made a article about it. Seems very nice. I just got in the training map to do some practicing, since I do not like to jump blind on online matches.

The lighting illumination was almost fixed, there still some artifacts in a couple objects on the map, but nothing severe as it was before.

The latest update on Black Mesa shows some good progress on this Half-Life fan game

Black Mesa is very buggy for me, on a RX570 card. Only the beta version works more or less stable, but at a cost of very low performance, even turning down graphic quality settings.

It is a Source engine game, but is nothing like Valve games, or other projects I had tested. Looks like the developers did not have a AMD card or simply didn't care for the quality of the Linux port.

Too bad because the game looks promising, but to play it as is right now is a disappointing experience for me. I tried to get a refund a while ago, before the released a beta that allowed me to start to play it. I regret not getting a refund the day I bought it, naively hopping that the they would make it playable in a short time.

Pikuniku is an absolute surprise, what a joy to play and it's out now with Linux support

Liam, how is the gamepad support? The Steam page says partial support, and that's never a good sign for couch time.

Wow, never seen that settings in all these years running Steam. I did set it for Linux already.

Quoting: liamdaweYeah, it's not ideal and it only works if you set one platform too (an issue for dual-booters). Still, better than nothing, just need Valve to actually direct users towards the setting.
Where is this setting, I can't find it.

Well, Inafune had already throw the name of old Japanese developers in the mud with Might No. 9, now Igarashi just run a bus over it.

Never thrust those guys again. The next one asking for money, claiming to be a developer from a beloved old franchise, will be received as a scammer.

Quoting: KohriasYou are really plaing an fps game with a gamepad on PC? Why would you handicap yourself that much?
No, I am not. I don't consider the steam controller a mousepad. More like two mouses with a small keyboard and a gyroscope for fine aiming. Which gives more control than mouse and keyboard and it's also faster. All of this well disguised under a gamepad-like shape.
You mean you haven't seem the youtube videos demonstrating this aspect of the steam controller?
Ah, it's great for strategy games too.
When I got the Steam Link with the Steam Controller I tried it for about, 5 to 15 minutes with CS:GO way back when. It was a terrible and uncomfortable experience. Even worse then the standard controller for the X and the PS4.

I am sure I probably needed to give it more time to learn the controller but thought it wasn't worth the hassle. Strategy games need a mouse and keyboard for me personally and shooters can work with a normal controller, but mouse and keyboard is still my preferred method.

Guess I do should look at the people using the Steam Controller like a pro. Can be interesting to see.
You succumbed to what I call "the first 5 minutes of desperation" of the Steam Controller. I suffered of it too. Got that horrible buyer regret. But I powered trough it, slowly got my muscular memory together and know I can play it fine.

But for me, is just 80% of the capabilities of a mouse/keyboard. You can use it just fine in any non-competitive game. Third person games like Tomb Rider feel great, because it blends the controls of a gamepad (that the game was made for) with a mouse-like precision. When I play L4D2 with my friends, I only go back to a mouse when the shit really hits the fan and we need to really take it serious to pass some difficult part. I play in the same level as anyone in a M/K on the SC.

Is not a perfect controller. I keep a DS4 for the "Twin Stick Shooter"genre, where I find the SC lacking, at last for me.

But the most important thing to remember is: we are in the PC. We can use whatever device we want. You can choose the best controller to the game you are playing. I have the 5 gamepads and the SC is the one I use the most.

Valve have adjusted their revenue share for bigger titles on Steam

While other companies may like having their own online store, things aren't always rosy for consumers. Having to install several clients on your computer is a shore, and the experience outside Steam for me was terrible. To this day I still get angry at the idea of installing Ubisoft's client to play their games, such bad piece of software that was. EA's one also can't hold a candle near Steam in terms of resources.

While for some Steam may come as a prison, for me is a very nice and organized place to organize my collection.

Quoting: M@GOidTo me, the 1.33 update in ETS2 brought a serious performance problem, with the game stuttering (like a intermittent slow motion, lag) in the cities, while in the roads it eventually reach 60fps.
I have this problem too.
Interesting, your machine is similar to mine but you are using a Nvidia card. So is definitely a issue with the game engine, not the drivers.
