There is a way to skip the driver warning on Feral games? Its okay to see it the first time, but annoying when you are playing the games flawlessly for several days.

Tank you for this. I will try it latter. But for AMD users, LLVM is also a important component when running bleeding edge Mesa, especially if you are looking for fixes of bugs. Can you please do a Wiki for how to build it too?

Speaking of Steam Controller and Big Picture, Valve released support for Xbox Controllers. But for me, enabling then in Big Picture to take advantage of the configs, causes the games to register double input. For example, Assault Android Cactus thinks I have 2 controllers when I an choosing a character and the second player option appear. This is happening in Linux with the One, 360 and Logitech F710 controllers. But in Windows is fine.

Quoting: tuubiThe Metro games proclaim "full controller support" so I assume it's not all hardcore twitch action, but how's the difficulty? Can I expect to enjoy the story even if I'm not that keen on (or very good at) FPS action?Actually, their control layout was clearly created joypad first then ported to mouse/keyboard, judging by the awful default keyboard bindings.

Quoting: Mountain ManThat's the one that has me pissed off the most. And I know they know about it because I emailed them, and they said they were aware of the problem. It's ironic because ETS 2 was one of the games I was most looking forward to playing with the Steam Controller.Since ETS2 is, well, a PC simulator, their controller backed must be much more sophisticated than other games, because they must support a wide selection of custom controllers that the sim community uses. So I don't think they use abstraction layers like SDL 2. So something with the way Steam handles joypads is interfering with their games.

The radio thingy is a inconvenience that can easily be addressed by using a external program to listen the online radios, like Clementine or Amarok. In the launch they said radios cannot be supported because of license issues with the mp3 codec in their engine in Linux. So forget about it.
The Steam Controller not being recognized is (to us that use it) a much more annoying thing, because is easily fixable but they don't care.
Speaking of controllers, can I do a review of the principal options available to Linux gamer Liam? Right now I have access to the Xbox 360 and One Controllers, DS4, Logitech F710 and the Steam Controller.

Quoting: paasistiLinux Mint 18 with Cinnamon.Hum, maybe there is something with the Mint packages not being completely compatible with the Ubuntu ones. Tried the same command you posted (I'm also using Padoka's stable PPA) and it was okay in a Kubuntu 16.10 install.
I'm usingsudo ppa-purge ppa:paulo-miguel-dias/pkppa
I tried aborting the first deletion and accepting the second, but that didn't get me too far it seems. Now ppa-purge says that the PPA is removed, but my Mesa version is still 13.0.2 - padoka PPA and the original issue is not fixed (and, skype and steam won't start so need to reinstall those, at the least..)
EDIT again:
Well, I solved this by upgrading to the bleeding edge PPA. Everything seems okay now (no screen tearing as there was before when I tried the PPA) so I guess everything is awesome again. Although it would would be nice to know how to downgrade if there's ever need..

Quoting: paasistiIt seems I got burned (Cinnamon complains that it's running without video hardware acceleration with this ppa) so I tried this. After the first phase it lists out as WILL BE REMOVED nearly every component there is and prompts for "Yes, I know what I'm doing". I did this once, and it wrecked my system. If I type anything else, it takes me to another list with still plenty of stuff being removed (including libs from vlc, skype, steam..). What should I do here? I don't want to reinstall my system like I had to do last time..Strange, I didn't remember ppa-purge do this with me. What distro are you using and what PPA are you trying to remove?

For the people who are new to this PPA thing, in the case something go wrong, to switch between PPAs or if you just want to go back to the stock packages, you can uninstall a PPA installing the package "ppa-purge":
Then, you can uninstall a PPA with:
sudo apt install ppa-purgeThen, you can uninstall a PPA with:
sudo ppa-purge nameofppa
