I feel like the hotfix only works for AMD maybe, I run an Nvidia 3090 TI and it takes FOREVER to load, if ever. I kinda gave up and went back to dx11 for now. Game load almost instant on dx11.

Works for me on nvidia 3090 w/ proprietary drivers on Wayland. Just tested that out. Haven't checked on X11 yet though. Ran a bit sluggish in my opinion but it displayed the new ui with the -gamepadui flag.

I'd just use SSH/SFTP/SCP bult in the the steamdeck and Linux ssh/SFTP/SCP on Linux clients and WinSCP for windows clients (of which I have none ), personally.
Diablo Immortal works on Steam Deck, plus a fix for Battle.net being slow

Quoting: LuticusPersonally I can't get it to run and I'm not entirely sure why, I use the Lutris battle.net setup and it installed battle.net, then I set up Immortal. Unfortunately when I click play it says's it's doing an update via notification, then nothing happens, no error... nothing? Wonder if anyone else has this issue or if anyone has any tips on what to do. Running Debian Stable.Seems I managed to get it running using good ol' Play on Linux. :)

Cool, wonder how long cross platform multiplayer will be broken for this time. I mean, I hope it isn't, but I basically quit playing the game because it seems like every time they release an update Linux gets forgotten about for like a month. It would be really nice if they would collaborate with Aspire and make sure the Linux and OSX versions are ready to go before just jamming stuff out there that will break a feature many people rely on to play the game with their friends. I haven't bought any of the new content this season yet explicitly because I find it too annoying when they break cross platform play every 2 months.

Microsoft's data collection and telemetry would prevent me from using it as my main browser. I might would jail it and use it for work if there was something that worked in it but not elsewhere. I am happy to see it come to Linux though, more software is always better. I think the native package manager thing would be like apt or yum, but not snap, flatpak, or other universal package types. Who knows, maybe they'll target those too, but I always prefer stuff that uses native .deb packages.

I think it's awesome that KDE seems to be making all my personal customization settings the new default. One of the first things I do with a new KDE install is switch to icon only task manager and set meta + drag to move windows.
Personally I'm most looking forward to wayland fixes as wayland support in KDE, even in 5.17 (Debian Testing) is still a bit of a mess. The return of taskbar thumbnails for one, and hopefully a generally more polished experience will be nice. Now if Debian can just get 5.20 packaged before the bullseye release.
I am curious if they will just kill Alt+drag or provide a new setting for it.I'm positive you'll be able to toggle it back as I always changed this setting anyway because meta + drag is what I got used to in other Desktop environments like Awesome WM.

Yea, Proton I view differently than wine as Proton still counts as a Linux sale. Though I exclusively use Proton/Wine setups to play ONLY games I already owned many years ago before Debian became my primary gaming system (skyrim) or to play games that were purchased for me as a gift (such as elder scrolls online). Seems to be a pattern there :). I never purchase any game or application with the intent to use it with wine or proton, I only support native Linux software, which is why I marked wine usage as never. Actually I'd recommend changing the wine question from "how often you use wine" to "did you purchase anything with the intent to use it on wine", as that's a much more accurate representation of people's buying habits and therefore more relevant to developers anyway.

If and ONLY if they release the mod tools for Linux also. Otherwise I don't see any difference between it and the original game which I can already play on linux natively or though wine, and I can use the dev tools on wine. So, if they support the mod tools on linux, then I'll buy a copy for every member of my family, otherwise probably not.
