You should at least be able to try out the Windows versions of DOOM Eternal, No Man's Sky and Wolfenstein: Youngblood
FYI the DLSS/RTX upgrade for DOOM Eternal is not up yet, it's announced for June 29th.

I'm really tempted... I got the XPS 13 Developer Edition in 2013 and it was really great but it's starting to show its age. I wish it wasn't so damn expensive

NVIDIA have a new Vulkan Beta Driver out for Linux - helping DOOM Eternal on Steam Play
1 Apr 2020 at 10:07 pm UTC Likes: 2

The way I do it (xubuntu):

- Download the driver
- chmod +x on the package
- log into to tty1, run > sudo service lightdm stop
- launch the package, follow the instructions
- sudo service lightdm start

there you go, there's a chance you might have to do it again next time you update you kernel.

I'm getting 120+ FPS @ 1440p Ultra Nightmare settings now :) (RTX 2080)

New Steam Client Beta up with Linux updates, Valve prepping Proton 5.0-5

Quoting: lejimsterI'm a bit confused. Is Doom Eternal working or not on Protom yet? Unless denuvo is supported in proton I'm guessing we will have to wait like we did with Doom?
A lot of Denuvo games work with Proton, they even corrected Denuvo-related bugs recently for Arkham Knight and Just Cause 3

Quoting: subHas somebody already coined a term like greenwashing - just FOSS-related?
Fosswashing?
Openwashing?
Librewashing?
Gnuwashing?
Tuxwashing?

Take your pick! ^^

Borderlands 3, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint out this week on Google Stadia

Quoting: tmtvldoes that mean that there is a Linux version of Xenoverse 2? They should put that on Steam.
I suppose there's nothing preventing Google or the game's devs from using Wine/Proton + DXVK to run Windows games on Stadia. Xenoverse 2 is rated Gold/Platinum on ProtonDB.

Quoting: Avehicle7887it doesn't mean devs are willing to release it for a normal Linux desktop (support costs, the usual distro difference excuse etc).
Let's hope the Steam Linux Runtime will get rid of that issue...

Wasn't Borderlands 3 supposed to be a 6 month Epic exclusive?!

D9VK is no more as it merges with DXVK, making DXVK a D3D 9/10/11 to Vulkan layer

With this and Wine 5.0 on the horizon we should be getting a pretty good Proton upgrade soon, eh?

Quoting: TheRiddickCommon phrases or even words from the dictionary shouldn't be trademark-able, within reason.
A lot of titles of book/game series are somewhat common words or phrases. "Foundation", "Dark Material", "Call of Duty" just to name a few.
If someone, today, tried to name a book series or game "Goosebumps" (a commonely used word/expression), they would get the pants sued off them for trademark infringement and they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
