It's in line with what most of the industry is doing lately. With Proton now being able to run pretty much any game on Linux, they don't see a solid reason for a native Linux port anymore. "Linux support" is now equivalent to making sure it runs smoothly in Proton.
Personally, I can live with it. If a game runs on Linux I don't care about what makes it run.

This store was never meant to improve customer experience. Its only purpose was for devs to save on commissions. And people wonder why it hard failed, when there was and is zero reason for customers to use it. If Fortnite wouldn't provide a seemingly endless amount of revenue to keep it on life-support, EPIC store would have closed a long time ago.

I don't get it. Why didn't they use the Creation Engine from Skyrim SE or even their Creation Engine 2 from Starfield?I never looked at the Starfield version, but CK is extremely outdated. I suppose they finally wanted to get rid of the old tech instead of continuing apply bandaids to CK.

A quick glance at the Wiki page seems to confirm that nothing has changed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snap_(software) [External Link]
Mind pointing me to a source saying otherwise?

I ditched Ubuntu for Mint a while back. Yes, because of Snap. If I wanted a proprietary, vendor-controlled app store, I'd have bought a Mac. Going back from KDE Plasma to Cinnamon felt like a step backwards at first, but Cinnamon is decent enough these days. I will take almost any UI not called Gnome 3. :D

Only sad thing is that they won't making DLCs. I would have loved this game getting expanded a little more.
