I personally enjoy playing games. I've been on Linux since 2007, I'm not going to only play Windows games released before then. Generally I buy Linux games I want to play on or around the day of release and Windows games I want to play when they're at least 50% off, so I guess my policy is "No Tux, Less Bux".

What you get is to help pay the wages of most of the regular contributors to Wine, I find that quite easy to justify (though I appreciate not everyone has the spare cash). For what it's worth they do have quite regular sales.

I use Crossover for some older games where stability has more benefits than being on the cutting edge.

I removed all my non-Linux wishlisted games the other week, I was fed up receiving emails about Windows-only games. Valve needs to come up with a better solution.

The issue I have is that it's significantly more expensive than PC Specialist, not that it's significantly more expensive than building it myself. I am at the stage in life where I'm quite happy to exchange money for time spent fiddling with tiny screws.

I did an equivalent spec machine on PC Specialist and, even with some 'expensive' components like Samsung SSDs, PC Specialist came out £300 cheaper. I don't mind paying a bit extra to support Linux and Open Source, but if that's their angle they really should offer AMD graphics cards as an option.
