Quoting: Mountain ManI won't be backing - I'm against "crowd funding" on general principle
I haven't really thought through my position on crowd funding, since I don't have a ton of spare funds to be part of a crowd with. So, genuinely wondering, not snarking--what general principle? And, against its existence or against getting involved?
Basically, crowd funding puts 100% of the risk on the customer while the customer gets nothing substantial in return. It's free money for the developer with zero accountability. We've seen this countless times with developers backing out of promises, releasing clearly unfinished games, or simply abandoning a project. It's a bad idea that needs to go away.
How exactly does the customer got nothing substantial in return?
I've participated in 6-7 crowd founder programs, and they've delivered every time (though not exactly on time), at a lower price than initial retail price.
So basically you get the same benefit you would if you had simply waited for a Steam sale? You might consider that a "substantial return" for collectively taking on all the risk of a project, but I don't.

The developers of 'Can't Drive This' will donate all Linux revenue from October to charity

This is a nice gesture, but wouldn't it have been interesting if they pledged to donate all sales from the most profitable platform rather than the traditionally least profitable?

I won't be backing - I'm against "crowd funding" on general principle - but it's certainly a product I'm interested in. Being able to play my Steam games on the go is an attractive idea... assuming this has the horse power and battery capacity to do justice to such a concept.

Patch notes give more detail:

###################
# Leviathans Story Pack
###################

#Important
* NEW: Players can encounter powerful Guardians that guard secrets and treasures
* NEW: Enclave Stations can be encountered and exist in three different forms; Artisans, Curators and Traders.
* NEW: Trader Enclaves can trade minerals/ECs and sell strategic resources
* NEW: Artisan Enclaves can construct monuments and hold festivals on your planets
* NEW: Curators can sell star charts, aid you with your research and provide valuable insight into how to defeat certain Guardians
* NEW: 'War in Heaven' can be triggered between two Awakened Fallen Empires, resulting in a galaxy-scale war

#Graphics
* NEW: 5 new 'cuties' portrait: 2 Molluscoids, 1 Reptilian, 1 Anthropoid and 1 Fungoid.

#Music
* NEW: 5 new songs by Andreas Waldetoft, including a new main theme that will play if the story pack is installed and enabled.
That actually sounds like a pretty nice list of features. But you know what? I'd almost be willing to pay $10 for the 5 new songs alone! Stellaris has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a game.

Quoting: leillo1975Arggg, my processor is a i5-3550 (3.3Ghz). Memory and GPU is enough. I think that this game can run well in my PC if I play in low settings. What's your opinion? I don't have problems with other games.
Nobody can say until it's actually released. You can always get a refund if the performance is unacceptable.

Quoting: coruunConsidering that Steam had the game listed for 6.99€ in the past, I'll buy it, when it's on sale. 30€ is too steep for me :/
I'm hoping for a sale to go along with the Linux release, but I'll buy it regardless.

GO ARKHAM KNIGHT!! GO!!!
Arkham Knight was a flop on Windows because of the shoddy state of the port. There's very little chance it will come to Linux.

I'm right between the minimum and recommended requirements, so I should be OK, but I'll probably have to keep the more intensive visual features dialed back.

It looks like there are only three main features in the expansion:

1) Guardians
2) Enclaves
3) The War in Heaven

That seems a bit slight for a $10 expansion especially when compared to something like the similarly priced The Reaper's Due for Crusader Kings II which contains at least half-a-dozen significant changes to the overall experience. I'm hoping there's a lot more to the Leviathans than that, unless I'm greatly underestimating the impact those features will have on the game.
