As a big fan of building sims this looks like something I will enjoy an immense amount of time in.

It's due sometime this "Fall", but nothing clearer on that yet.

About the game
Transport Fever is a railroad-focused tycoon game. Players start in 1850 and build up a thriving transport company. As an emerging transport tycoon, the player constructs stations, airports, harbors and makes money by connecting areas requiring transport services.

Construct complex road-rail-water-air networks in the endless game and experience more than 150 year of transportation history. Fulfill the people’s needs and watch cities evolve dynamically. Supply industries with freight, develop complete cargo chains and enable economic growth. Build up a transport empire!

Master challenges and get entertained in the campaign game mode. Two campaigns consisting of a multitude of missions with increasing difficulty can be tackled. Missions of the American and the European campaign tell the historical context of the 19th and 20th century and offer a wide range of realworld transportation challenges. It will be interesting to see how it compares with Cities Skylines. While Transport Fever is multi-city and CS is a single city, CS is deeply rooted in a transport simulator too. Obviously, it's hard to compare CS graphics with TF :o

Single city/multi city is rather vague. Cities in Motion 2 was technically single city, but nothing stopped anyone from making a two city map.

This game looks really interesting, but Train Fever was such a bust that I'm rather skeptical about this one.

Then comparisons can be even more direct.

Just for the record, Urban Games is form Switzerland, not Germany. The voice in this video is from A you-tuber named tom.io, I think he is from Austria, not sure though. (Not that this matters at all.)

@Mountan Man, I never understood the bad reviews Train Fever got. I like it, although it looks like the developer have abandon it to make this one. Train Fever is using there engine, not unity and they managed to support Linux, Mac and even Windows. :)

I don't think this will be a City Skyline clone. This will be more a transport than a city simulation but I can be wrong.

What I miss is something like A-Trains 9 or an updated version of industrial tycoon. A real train simulation like Trainz would be nice too. Now that I know that tom.io is working for them, it might get a little bit from A-Trains because thats one of the games tom.io is playing a lot on his youtube channel.

I had some hope when Train Simulator folks, DTG, announced a new train simulator based on Unreal Engine. DTG used to be quite close to Valve, their game deeply integrated with Steam and the announcement came about the same time as the Steam Machine hype. Unfortunately they are now developing close ties with Microsoft and will publish for Xbox One, so my hopes are gone.

I don't think they have a good handle on UE4 for other platforms. They were going to do Eurofishing for Mac and Linux. But so far the depots have been unchanged for almost a year with the only public reason that they are having performance issues.
