Quoting: Mountain ManI expect this to go nowhere. The idea that you can force a company to make their product available indefinitely is ridiculous on its face.
Well, open source the server code would be sufficient
Assuming it's not proprietary or licensed. That's one part of this debate that is never considered, that developers may not legally be able to release their games for free.

Quoting: Avehicle7887I wonder what's up with the GOG releases being Windows only.
Is it a surprise when they never bothered to port their Galaxy downloader to Linux?

Dragon Age: The Veilguard gets Steam Deck Verified well ahead of release

The original Dragon Age is one of my all-time favorite RPGs. It's also the last game BioWare developed as an independent studio before selling out to EA.

I wonder if this one will be any good?

Quoting: Mountain ManI remember the cars in the demo had neat physics modeling but were way too bouncy and squirrelly, and slid across the dirt like they were on ice, making them almost impossible to control. Has that improved?
They behaved a lot like very powerful but very light open wheelers on loose dirt. Difficult to control, obviously, but not unrealistically so. This isn't an arcade off-road racer, even if it looks a bit like it should be.
I'm not asking for an arcade racer, but the cars in the previous demos seemed far too light with tires that didn't dig in like they should but lightly skipped across the surface instead.

It's like a cross between Tetris and Carcassonne. Looks pretty cool.

Will anything dethrone the Steam Deck? Probably not

Steam Deck, at the moment, is arguably the most perfect combination of hardware and software in the handheld computing market. It's as easy to use as a console, but also allows power users to open the hood and do whatever they want without restriction. Not to mention that Steam OS/Linux is vastly superior to Windows on a handheld platform.

Touchpads on the Steam Controller and Steam Deck have spoiled me. I never again want to use a controller that has joysticks only.

Victoria 3's first major expansion Sphere of Influence is out now

Really? Victoria 3 is just now getting a major expansion? Being a Paradox title and released almost two years ago, I just assumed it already had at least a dozen major expansions.
